Some familiar names are leading the way for Creighton with Ryan Kalkbrenner and Trey Alexander both in their third seasons as starters. Leading scorer and rebounder Baylor Scheierman started all 54 games since transferring in from South Dakota State.
Utah State transfer Steven Ashworth joins sophomore Mason Miller as starters for a team expected to compete for a Big East title.
The Blue Jays rank 50th nationally in scoring defense and they are among the national leaders in field-goal percentage defense. That could play a role in the Creighton vs UConn odds.

Clingan Close To Returning For UConn
Donovan Clingan, a 7-foot-2 sophomore, hasn’t played since UConn’s loss to Seton Hall.
