Nelson Delivers for the Horned Frogs
It isn’t often that a team’s starters are outscored by 18 points, and the other college basketball team makes 10 more foul shots, and the visiting team still comes away with the win.
That was the scenario in TCU’s wild 105-102 overtime win over Baylor.
It didn’t hurt that guard Jameer Nelson Jr. came off the bench to score a season-high 30 points on 11-of-18 shooting.
That win, as well as a road win against Oklahoma State, had TCU re-entering the national polls after back-to-back losses to Cincinnati and Iowa State had the Horned Frogs falling out of the national polls.
The total has gone over in five of the last seven games played by TCU. That is something to consider when it comes to the Texas Tech at TCU preview.
