Drew Allar Player Stats: Penn State QB Coming Off Huge Effort

Penn State quarterback Drew Allar has turned in a couple of huge efforts so far this season. He’s also been lackluster at times. That inconsistency is exactly what you expect from a young quarterback, but he’s has taken a big step forward this season. He’s not trying to force things that aren’t there and is taking what the defense gives him. Against Iowa, that was the short pass. The Drew Allar player stats show he completed 25 of 37 passes for 166 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. Penn State’s longest pass play was just 14 yards.

Allar attended Medina High School in Medina, Ohio. The Drew Allar player stats during his high school career show 630 completions in 1,149 attempts for 9,103 yards and 98 touchdowns. He was intercepted 20 times. Allar added 826 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground.

As a freshman at Penn State, Allar played in 10 games, coming in off the bench. He finished the season 35 of 59 passing for 344 yards and four touchdowns. He rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown.

Sophomore Season

The Drew Allar player stats show that he started 2023 with a strong effort, going 21 for 29 passing for 315 yards and three touchdowns in Penn State’s 38-15 win over West Virginia. The Nittany Lions were favored by 21, so Allar’s big game allowed PSU to cover the college football spreads.

Allar’s NCAAF stats were impressive in the team’s 63-7 dismantling of Delaware in Week 2. Playing limited time, Allar was 22 for 26 for 204 yards and one touchdown.

Allar had his worst game of the season against Indiana in Week 3, going just 16 for 33 and 208 passing yards. He didn’t throw an interception and the Nittany Lions maintained their spot in the college football rankings with a 30-13 win as 14-point favorites.

For the season, Allar is 84 of 125 for 903 yards and eight touchdowns against no interceptions. He’s run for 74 yards and a touchdown.

Allar has helped Penn State reach No. 6 in the NCAAF rankings. But more importantly for football bettors, Allar has helped the Nittany Lions start off the season with a 4-0 record against the college football lines.
