Oregon Has Been A Stable Wager In 2023

When it comes to wagering, most are looking for college teams that can offer stability from week to week. None did it better than the Oregon Ducks who went the entire season without losing back-to-back games against the spread.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Even in the two games they failed to cover, Oregon won straight-up against USC (36-37, -16.5) and Washington State (38-24, -19.5). It was the second straight year that the Ducks have produced a profit with a 2-year record of 15-6-1.

The only time Oregon was an underdog this NCAAF season was against Washington in week four when they suffered their only loss (36-33) as a 3.5-point underdog. Dan Lanning’s team held a 33-29 lead until the 1:38 mark of the fourth quarter when Washington scored on an 18-yard touchdown pass from Michael Pennix Jr to Rome Odunze.

Oregon is second in the country with 541.1 yards per game and first in passing yards per game with 351.4/game behind quarterback Bo Nix. We continue our Oregon vs Washington Free Pick analysis by turning our attention to the Huskies.

It’s Been Anything But Smooth For Washington

Unlike the Ducks, the Washington Huskies have struggled to look anything like the fourth-ranked team in the country. You only have to see the disrespectful line on this game to tell you what the oddsmakers think of Washington.

There are plenty of times the Huskies should have lost outright. They beat Arizona by a touchdown in week five, we already talked about the win against Oregon and then struggled to beat Arizona State (15-7) as a 28-point favorite. So we don’t have to go through the entire schedule, we can make it simple. Washington has not beaten an opponent by more than 10 points in nine straight games, while Oregon has done it six times in that span.

Washington can match Oregon’s high-octane with an offense that averages 345.5 yards per game (2nd in the nation) and 3rd in yards per play (3rd in the nation). We continue our Oregon vs Washington Free Pick analysis with an injury update and a few relevant betting trends.

Injuries and Numbers To Take Into Account

To look at the entire scores and odds weekend sheet, there is one thing that’s clear, this is going to be one of the best championship games the postseason has to offer. Each team has a minimal amount of NCAAF injuries, with the most significant concern being Ducks wide receiver Gary Bryant Jr (380 yards receiving) who is listed as probable, some close to the program have said that he will play after suffering a left leg injury.

Over the last three seasons, Oregon has been a favorite 20 times over the last two seasons, covering 15 times. Oregon is 4-2 since 2021 when laying 5-10 points. Washington is 6-4 ATS since 2011 when getting 5-10 points. We conclude our Oregon vs Washington Free Pick analysis with our official selection.

The Number Says It All

The general public is putting their money behind Washington with 58% of the total tickets wagered coming in on the Huskies, but the professionals know better. Over 74% of the money wagered in on Washington which has pushed this number up a point to 9.5.

Kalen DeBoer’s team has been playing with fire all season but their luck is about to run out in Las Vegas. It’s a neutral site but Oregon has covered seven of nine decisions on the road and is 3-1-1 ATS against Washington since 2018. Take the Ducks and lay the points, but get this number now before you have to lay 10. That does it for our NCAAF free pick and parlay starter, we wish you all the best with your wagers this week.
