We know this was an organization that chose to develop into a winning franchise long-term rather than the perception of the Vegas Golden Knights, wheeling and dealing themselves into a Stanley Cup Champion through various NHL free agent moves.
Their approaches have worked out better for the Knights, and now the natives are getting restless with the Kraken, who are 0-3-1 to start a year where they were supposed to progress deeper into the postseason. Seattle has dug themselves an early 7-point hole in the Pacific Division, making every night a must-win starting with Carolina.
It hasn’t been just losing, it’s how they’ve been getting beat with two scoreless games on their resume’. Seattle averages 0.8 goals per game after a season when 18 skaters had at least 20 points in 22-23, and 13 players had at least 13 goals.
For bettors, the fear is the team will fall back into being an unreliable wager like they were in their first seasons after losing 21.40 units in 2021-22 and their NHL schedule doesn’t lighten up until mid-November.
