Gane vs Tuivasa Betting Odds Suggest Easy Win
UFC Fight Night in Paris
There is excellent value in the UFC schedule with the Gane vs Tuivasa betting odds on Saturday.
Most of the betting support has come for French fighter Ciryl Gane but upsets often happen when fighters fight in front of a home crowd. Tai Tuivasa has heavy hands and the +480 is there for the taking if bettors are game enough to pick the upset.
Tuivasa Fine with Underdog Tag
Tuivasa has been the underdog most of his life and that hasn’t stopped him when fighting in the Octagon.
The Australian heavyweight has been knocking out opponents left and right, and he’s not worried about what the UFC Fight Night betting markets are suggesting.
“I’m OK with being an underdog. I was born an underdog in Western Sydney – the home of underdogs,’ Tuivasa told The Daily Mail.
“I’m going to go out there and do what I do – which is knock them out. I’m going to take his head off. I’m sure he’s going to try and do the same – and that’s what excites me about this sport. I’m going to shock the world.
“This camp has been a long one so I’m excited to get any kind of grog in me – I don’t care if it’s wine, beer, or anything. I’ve also never been to Paris before, so I’m excited to get out there and get amongst it.”
Tuivasa is 15-3 following a knockout of Derrick Lewis early in the second round. He hasn’t lost since 2019 and during that time he has knocked out Stefan Struve, Augusto Sakai, and Greg Hardy.
Gane vs Tuivasa betting odds might have the Australian at long odds to win in France, but if he lands a punch square on Gane’s chin, it’s goodnight for the home favorite UFC event.
Gane Ready to Inflict Pain
We’re not surprised by the Gane vs Tuivasa betting odds. Gane is 10-1 following a loss to Francis Ngannou and he’s good enough to bounce back.
The Frenchman looked good prior when knocking out Derrick Lewis, but he went to the judge’s scorecards against Volkov and Rozenstruick, which should give bettors cause for concern.
We don’t think he has as much power as Tuivasa, so if he can’t avoid getting hit, it could be an early night. However, if he manages to avoid the big punch, he’ll likely win on points.
If you’re looking to bet on UFC fight, we wouldn’t recommend taking the skinny odds for Gane. He’s a tough customer but the odds are too skinny and we don’t see much value.
Gane is looking at another title shot, so he’ll need to produce the goods in front of his home crowd.
“My goal is the belt, but I must find a bigger motivation than that,” said Gane. “Since my debut in MMA, I was flawless. It was not easy, but it was okay for me. I was training a lot, victory-after-victory on the way up, but now I’m at the top, and I must find a new motivation, another target, another goal.
“My mission is to go after the belt again, (and now I know) what I must do to get the belt for real.”
Gane vs Tuivasa betting odds are too far apart for our liking, so we’re forced to back Tuivasa at the much better value.
