Holloway vs Gaethje to Headline UFC 300 for BMF Title
The Blessed Faces the Highlight for the Bmf Title in What’s Set to Be an Instant Classic

Blessed With Highlights 🤩
Well, well, well… I could’ve predicted that the MMA fan base would soon be eating their words. Fight announcements regarding UFC 300 have been arriving thick and thin, but none of the contests have made diehard enthusiasts of the sport say “wow.” That was, until last night…
Trash talk about UFC 300 and its lack of high-profile fights was shot down yesterday, as Dana White took to X and announced a BMF (Baddest Mother F*cker) title bout that has the MMA community creaming their pants.

Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway will shed blood in the octagon on April 13, 2024, as the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is set to host a five-round slugfest guaranteed to enter the history books.
Gaethje, 35, is arguably in the prime of his career. Nicknamed “The Highlight,” it’s no surprise to know that Colorado native owns a 75% knockout rate as a UFC competitor, and when he’s scheduled for an event, he’s almost guaranteed to make headline UFC news behind an insane performance, whether he wins or losses.
Since 2018, the only UFC fighters to defeat Gaethje were former lightweight champions Charles Oliveira and Khabib Nurmagomedov, as he’s dispatched elite-level talent such as Edson Barboza, Michael Chandler, and Dustin Poirier via KO/TKO.
Jorge Masvidal, Nate Diaz, Dustin Poirier, and the current holder, Gaethje, have been the lone men to have ever earned the right to challenge for the BMF title. But now, Max Holloway enters the fray, and rightfully so.
Besides being a former featherweight champion with three successful defenses, Max has broken countless UFC records, including the most strikes landed in a single fight and the most significant strikes landed in UFC history throughout all weight classes.
“Blessed” has blessed us with entertaining fights for over a decade. He’s a fan favorite with or without gold simply because he leaves his heart, body, and soul each time he steps into the cage.
UFC rumors and rumblings since the Holloway/Gaethje fight announcement suggest the former is too small for lightweight and that the latter will steamroll him.
However, the Hawaiian, whose only losses in the last decade were to Dustin Poirier and Alexander Volkanovski, has recently dispatched the likes of Arnold Allen, Chan Sung Jung, and Yair Rodriguez without complications. Therefore, I wouldn’t be so quick to count him out.
Dana White also announced Jim Miller vs Bobby Green, two veterans of the sport. Unfortunately for them, the intrigue of this contest couldn’t contend with the Holloway vs Gaethje BMF bout that’s since gone viral across several social media platforms.
We’re just a few months out from UFC 300, which is shaping up to be the historic night of fights we were promised. However, fight announcements aren’t complete as we patiently await a championship bout or two to headline the UFC event; exciting times ahead!
