Shohei Ohtani In Dodger Blue Is Everything!

The Two-Way Superstar Was Officially Introduced as a Dodger on Thursday

Dodgers Fans’ Dreams Coming True!

The Los Angeles Dodgers are the hottest ticket in town following the signing of the Shohei Ohtani contract. According to USA TODAY Sports, the cheapest ticket for the Dodgers’ home opener against the St. Louis Cardinals is $407 on TickPick after fees. That’s the priciest ticket in town right now.

Dodgers fans shouldn’t be too surprised about how expensive games are going to be as somebody has to pay for the $700 million the team just gave Ohtani. For now, it’s all smiles in Los Angeles. Ohtani was officially introduced to the media as a member of the Dodgers and he’s hyped up.

“I can’t wait to join the Dodgers,” Ohtani said through interpreter Ippei Mizuhara. “They share the same passion as me. They have vision and history all about winning, and I share the same values. I just can’t wait to join the team and get it going.”

The only concern is that the Ohtani stats could take a dip following another major injury from last season. However, he revealed that MLB news that he didn’t actually have to undergo another Tommy John surgery, which would be great news.

“I’m not, obviously, an expert in the medical field, but I mean, it was a procedure,” Ohtani said through his interpreter. “I’m not sure what it’s called. I know it’s completely different from my first time. So I don’t know what you want to call it. Probably talk to my doctor about that.”

Ohtani’s Optimistic Outlook

It still remains to be seen if he’ll be able to pitch much in 2024 but he should be able to pitch again at some point. In the meantime, the Dodgers get one of the best hitters in the world. The good news is that he says he’s feeling good and should be ready to go at the start of the season.

“I’ve been taking dry hacks or dry swings for the last week,” Ohtani said. “So I’m on a really good pace to be ready for Opening Day. As long as I can get into Spring Training as scheduled and be able to play in the exhibition games, I think I’ll be fully ready as a hitter for Opening Day.”

If he can’t go on Opening Day, those ticket prices should go down but it looks like your money will be well spent right now.
