Head-to-Head

Bayern Munich has been an excellent pick for Bundesliga betting in this fixture. In all competitions, they’re unbeaten in their last 18 games vs. Wolfsburg. Jamal Musiala scored in both of Bayern’s victories over Wolfsburg last season. Seven of the last ten matches between the two sides have finished in Bayern wins by a multi-goal margin. Wolfsburg last defeated Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga over eight years ago.

Wolfsburg Grab First Shutout Since September

Heading into Bundesliga Matchday 15, Wolfsburg had won just one of their last six matches in all competitions. Die Wolfe went on the road to the last-placed side Darmstadt, and things started tumultuously. Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix received a red card in the 27th minute, and ten-man Wolfsburg had their work cut out for them.

Jonas Wind attempted an audacious shot from well behind the halfway line that was close to going in. He ended up providing an assist for Lovro Majer’s goal, which was the only one of the match. Koen Casteels also made an incredible double save to preserve Die Wolfe’s shutout. It was Wolfsburg’s first shutout victory since September and a much-needed three points to keep them in the top half of the table.

Wolfsburg vs Bayern Munich preview note that Die Wolfe are just 0-1-8 in their last nine home matches vs. Bayern. Plus, Wolfsburg have scored just four times in their last six matches, in all competitions. While Lacroix is suspended for this match, Mattias Svanberg, Rogerio, Patrick Wimmer, Amin Sarr, and Lukas Nmecha are out injured. Wind has been Wolfsburg’s key player this season, with nine goals and four assists.

Bayern Take Down Stuttgart

In the Bundesliga Match of the Week, Bayern Munich defeated Stuttgart 3-0 on Sunday. Harry Kane scored twice in the match and Kim Min-jae scored his first Bundesliga goal. Bayern also had two goals called back due to VAR in the first half. The Bayern Munich standings show that second-placed Bayern are currently four points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Bayern have a game in hand on Leverkusen, but it won’t be straightforward for the Bavarians to win their 12th straight Bundesliga title.

Kane has scored 20 goals in just 14 Bundesliga appearances since joining from Tottenham. He’s currently leading the Bundesliga stats in goals, and Leroy Sane is the league’s assist leader, with eight. Heading into Wednesday’s match, Bayern Munich has kept four clean sheets in their last five matches, in all competitions. On Sunday, Jamal Musiala started his first Bundesliga match since early November, and he’s a key creative cog.

Thomas Tuchel does have a number of injuries in his ranks. Noussair Mazraoui, Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry are all out. Meanwhile, Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka are recovering from an illness and are questionable for Wednesday’s match. Regardless, Bayern Munich have a solid 5-1-1 record this season on the road.

Match Analysis & Odds

Wolfsburg vs Bayern Munich preview note Bayern’s long unbeaten run vs. Wolfsburg. Bayern have won ten of the last 11 meetings, and they’re 1.5-goal favorites on Wednesday. Bettors can take Bayern Munich -1.5 at -105 odds and their moneyline at -275. Wolfsburg has struggled to score this season and entered the weekend with a -6 goal difference. If Bayern can shut down Jonas Wind, Wolfsburg will have to get creative to score.

Hosts Wolfsburg are +600 underdogs for this one and have won just one of their last four Bundesliga matches at the Volkswagen Arena. Wolfsburg +1.5 displays -115 odds, but they’ve frequently suffered heavy losses to Bayern in recent seasons. A draw is currently priced at +460, and Bayern will be looking for all three points to catch up with Leverkusen. Seven of the last ten meetings have finished with four or more goals, but under 3.5 goals sit at -115 odds here.
