Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Bayern Falling Behind in Title Race

Bayern Munich very rarely lose two games in a row. In fact, the last time it happened was four years ago. The Bavarians may have fallen 5-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt over the weekend, but they did manage to defeat Manchester United 1-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday. Harry Kane played in a silky pass for Kingsley Coman, who had all the time in the world to finish past United keeper Andre Onana. Bayern finished the group stage unbeaten once again, and their record of 40 games without a UCL group stage loss will be hard for any other team to match.

In the Bundesliga, the Bayern Munich standings show that they’re four points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Granted, Bayern do have a game in hand, but it appears this is a title challenge that could go down to the wire, just like last season’s. Bayern, 11-time champions, haven’t been at their best this season, but they’ve still scored over three goals per game. The Bundesliga odds also price them as -300 favorites to win yet another title. Kane has proven to be an excellent addition to the squad, with 18 league goals in just 13 matches.

Still, he hasn’t gotten on the scoresheet in any of Bayern’s last three games. Thomas Tuchel’s side have struggled to score in recent weeks, with just two goals in their last three matches, in all competitions. Jamal Musiala made his first start in a month on Tuesday, and the hope is that the young attacking midfielder rejuvenates this Bayern team. Bettors can expect both Serge Gnabry and Matthijs de Ligt to be out for Bayern Munich vs. Stuttgart.

Stuttgart Still Surprising

Stuttgart have been one of the most intriguing soccer picks today. They’re in third place in the Bundesliga, just one point behind Bayern Munich, and have lost just one match since the beginning of November. Since then, Stuttgart have defeated Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal and just drew with leaders Bayer Leverkusen over the weekend. Stuttgart had the better chances in the match, and Chris Fuhrich gave the hosts the lead 40 minutes in.

Florian Wirtz equalized for Leverkusen just a couple of minutes after the halftime break, and one of the best matches of the season so far finished all square. Fuhrich has been one of Stuttgart’s standout offensive performers, along with strikers Serhou Guirassy and Deniz Undav. Only Kane has scored more goals than Guirassy in the Bundesliga this season. Stuttgart were nearly headed for relegation this season, but Sebastian Hoeness has done an excellent job as their head coach.

The former Hoffenheim boss has posted a record of 19-5-5 since taking over in April. Stuttgart have also been solid on the road this season, with a 4-2 Bundesliga record. Prospective Stuttgart bettors should note that defender Hiroki Ito is out with a muscle injury.

Match Analysis & Odds

This is the must-watch match in the Bundesliga this weekend, featuring two teams with explosive offenses. The two top Bundesliga scorers will be on display here as Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich host Serhou Guirassy’s Stuttgart. Currently, the Bayern Munich vs Stuttgart Bundesliga odds list Bayern as -235 favorites.

The Bavarians are unbeaten in their last nine home matches after losing the DFL-Supercup to RB Leipzig in August. Bettors can also take Bayern -1, -1.5 at -115 odds for this one. Stuttgart have a bunch of impressive results this season, but they are +500 underdogs for this one. Stuttgart +1, +1.5 comes in at -105 odds, and it wouldn’t be surprising if they’re able to keep this one close.

Note that the last three meetings have finished in draws or have been decided by a one-goal margin. A draw is priced at +440 odds, while both over and under 3.5 goals sit at -110 odds.
