After a two month layoff, the Champions League is back for the knockout stage. On Tuesday, FC Copenhagen take on Man City in the first leg of the round of 16. Copenhagen surprised quite a few people by advancing over Galatasaray and Manchester United in Group A. This will be the third-ever match on the Champions League schedule between FC Copenhagen and Manchester City. Last season, in the group stage, Man City picked up a 5-0 win at home as Erling Haaland scored twice.

It’s almost cruel that Copenhagen’s first competitive match in two months is vs Manchester City. Still, it is a momentous occasion for them and their fans as this is just their second knockout stage appearance in UCL history.
