Premier League Fixtures Odds: Matchday 11

Liverpool Likely Done and Dusted in Title Race

Are Arsenal Serious Title Contenders?

Given their up and down form last season, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been a hugely pleasant surprise in 2022-23. They lead the Premier League so far but Manchester City are hot on their heels. City head to Anfield to take on a struggling Liverpool in what should be the match of the week. Manchester United vs. Newcastle is also a much-anticipated matchup. Let’s take a look at the Premier League fixtures odds from Matchday 11’s best games.

Games of the Week:

Tottenham vs Everton:

They’re not getting too much buzz but Tottenham have what it takes to be in the title race. Antonio Conte has an exciting group of attackers but he’s yet to get the best out of them this season. They eked out a win over Brighton, 1-0, last weekend on a Harry Kane goal. Now, Spurs face Everton in front of their home fans on Saturday.

Everton are tied for the best defensive record in the league this season, conceding just nine goals. They nearly went toe-to-toe with Manchester United but fell 2-1 last Sunday. Spurs are sizable favorites, at -210 odds. They’re also favored to cover the one-goal spread, at -125 odds. One of the best Premier League betting tips this season–  been betting the under in Everton games. Toffees’ matches have averaged just 1.89 goals this season.

The over/under goal total for this match is 2½ and the over is getting more love, at -130 odds. Tottenham do have reigning golden boot winner Heung-Min Son, however, they’ve scored just twice in their last two matches. Everton are looking more like a mid-table side than relegation candidates and could keep this competitive. Alex Iwobi is going through a renaissance as a central midfielder rather than a winger.

Manchester United vs Newcastle United:

There’s a lot of intrigue in this match. Both Manchester United and Newcastle United have overhauled their squads in the past year and seem to match up well. They drew 1-1 when they last played and this will be Erik ten Hag’s first game vs. Newcastle. The Premier League fixtures odds give the Red Devils slightly better than even odds to win, at -105.

Newcastle will be hoping record signing Alexander Isak recovers from a thigh injury in time to start up front – he’s been out since the international break. The visitors are priced at +270 odds to win but haven’t won at Old Trafford since 2013. They have won 5-1 and 4-1 in their last two matches, though and are unbeaten in their last four matches. Miguel Almiron has often been criticized for his finishing but has scored three in his last two.

Manchester United, on the other hand, have won four of their last five Premier League matches. Neither team has kept a clean sheet in their last three matches, which could make Both Teams to Score a popular bet. Over 2½ goals also shows -140 odds.

Leeds United vs Arsenal:

Arsenal come into Sunday’s match at Leeds as -175 favorites, according to the latest Premier League odds. Leeds, who are winless in their last five matches, are +475 home underdogs.

Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Liverpool last Sunday could just mean a shift in the Premier League power structure. The first place Gunners are 14 points ahead of Liverpool and they could present the biggest challenge to Man City this season. Their style of play is attractive, attacking and has produced a lot of goals this season.

They head to Leeds having scored three goals in each of their last three EPL matches. The EPL stats show that only Manchester City have scored more goals this season. Arsenal come into Sunday’s match at Leeds as -175 favorites, according to the latest Premier League odds. Leeds, who are winless in their last five matches, are +475 home underdogs.

Leeds shouldn’t be taken lightly though, as they did gain seven points from their first three matches. They’ve struggled to score in recent weeks, though, with just four goals in their last five matches. Still, Leeds show -190 odds to get on the board vs. Arsenal. Both Arsenal and underdogs Leeds are priced at -110 to cover the one-goal spread.

Liverpool vs Manchester City:

When Liverpool and Manchester City met in the Community Shield in August, it looked like Liverpool would be the team to beat this season. The Reds won 3-1 and sent a message to the rest of the league. Since then, they’ve gained just 10 points from eight matches and are already 13 points behind Manchester City. In a sign of Liverpool’s decline, the Premier League fixtures odds price the Reds as home underdogs vs. City on Sunday.

Liverpool sit at +290 odds to win while City show -115 odds. These teams drew 2-2 twice in the Premier League last season and another draw is listed at +300 odds. Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, who has scored in his last seven EPL matches, is a  -140 anytime goalscorer. He’s made a huge difference for City this season and is on pace to break numerous records.

While Liverpool have been hugely disappointing this season, at least they’re still scoring goals. They’ve scored at least twice in four of their last five Premier League matches. However, they can’t seem to keep teams out of the back of their own net. Over three goals for the match is priced at -130 odds and it’s happened in the last five meetings, in all competitions.

Other Games of Interest

Brentford and Brighton both play attractive football and it should be an entertaining match when they meet on Saturday. The Bees are winless in their last three matches but this could be the one. Meanwhile, Roberto de Zerbi is looking for his first win as Brighton boss and this is his best chance yet. Brighton come in as +135 road favorites, while Brentford are +210 underdogs. The Bees are missing key midfielder Christian Norgaard.

The fact that Bournemouth are above Liverpool in the table after losing to them 9-0 in August could be a sign of the impending apocalypse! Many lambasted Bournemouth’s decision to fire Scott Parker after the match but they’re unbeaten since then. They pulled off a comeback win over Leicester City last weekend and now the Cherries head to Fulham. Fulham have also been a pleasant surprise this season and are currently in ninth place. The Cottagers will be hoping to snap their two-game losing streak and show -115 odds to win. A Bournemouth tie or win for the sixth match in a row can be found at -105 odds.

Aston Villa started off the season poorly but have quietly gone unbeaten for four straight matches. Steven Gerrard’s Villa host Graham Potter’s Chelsea on Sunday and the Blues have three consecutive EPL wins. Now in the top four, Chelsea are looking to insert themselves back into the title race. Following their big midweek Champions League clash at Milan, Chelsea are -120 favorites at Villa. None of Villa’s last four matches have gone over two goals but each of Chelsea’s last three have. Both over and under 2½ are priced at -110 odds.
