Back Bhatia with Barbasol Championship Odds

The PGA Tour Rolls On

Barbasol Championship odds have been released and it’s Taylor Pendrith and Lucas Glover leading the way.

In terms of golf schedules, now is the time to strike while all the good players are in Scotland for the PGA Scottish Open.

However, there is plenty of value available in betting markets and bettors can strike.

Bhatia Closing In

Akshay Bhatia is getting close to posting his first PGA Tour win, and he won’t get a better opportunity.

It’s a soft field this week, and as Barbasol Championship odds reflect, Bhatia has a chance to score his maiden win.

The American 21-year-old finished T35 last week, but it’s his performance at the Mexico Championship that stands out. He finished fourth behind Tony Finau and Jon Rahm, so he faced a tough field.

He could even had specking with Masters golf betting markets, so there was confidence that he’ll emerge as a PGA Tour winner.

He earned his Tour status with a runner-up finish in Puerto Rico earlier this year.

“I can’t believe I’m crying, oh, my God,” Bhatia sai. “It means a lot. I mean, worked really hard. It’s been a crazy journey, for sure. Last year was really disappointing, I got hurt and didn’t get my card through the Korn Ferry Tour. I mean, it’s crazy.”

Bhatia is a +2800 chance to win, which is on the fourth line of betting. It’s not a bad price for a potential golf major winner.

Pendrith’s Potential

Tournament favorite Taylor Pendrith is a winning chance this week, especially if he brings his best game.

The Canadian finished T14 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic behind Rickie Fowler, which should be an excellent form guide for this tournament.

The 32-year-old had been struggling prior to that, but if he’s anywhere near his best, he should be near the top of the leaderboard.

+1800 is a touch short with Barbasol Championship odds, but he should give bettors a great sight.

Blixt Showing Up

Jonas Blixt hasn’t won since 2017, but the Swede has been producing some better performances recently.

He finished T17 at the John Deere Classic, so he should take plenty of confidence from that effort. It could have been better had he shot better than -1 on the final day, so a top 10 was beckoning.

It has been a long road back to form for Blixt, who burst onto the scene with PGA Tour wins in 2012 and 2013. However, he went massively off the boil, and his confidence took a hit.

He shot a 62 last week, which showed the world he’s capable of big things.

“At this point when you don’t have that much confidence in your game and you find something, you just kind of go out and see where you swing at it, and that’s what happened,” Blixt said. “I mean, 62 doesn’t happen very often on the PGA Tour, at least not for me. I’m very happy about it. Extremely happy about it.”

He’s capable of beating fields of this nature and +10,000 is a price that can’t be overlooked. It’s a risky bet, but the payoff could be huge.
