Mbappe Scoring in Bunches for PSG

Kylian Mbappe has now scored in each of his last six matches for PSG, in all competitions. Last Saturday, he found the net twice as PSG defeated third-tier club Orleans 4-1 in the Coupe de France round of 32. Mbappe also scored the insurance goal in PSG’s 2-0 Ligue 1 over Lens a couple of weekends ago. The French superstar is Ligue 1’s leading scorer, with 19 goals, and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

PSG haven’t lost any of their last 13 games on the Ligue 1 schedule and they look to be on their way to another title. The Parisians currently show -5000 odds to become champions for a third season in a row. They’ve scored the most goals in the league at the moment and have conceded the second-fewest.

On Sunday, PSG will have a few defenders out. Right back Achraf Hakimi is at the Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco. Meanwhile, Nuno Mendes and Milan Skriniar are injured. Luis Enrique experimented with a three-back formation last weekend and that could be how PSG set up on Sunday. Attacker Lee Kang-in is also away on international duty with South Korea. Still, Enrique has a bunch of options like Mbappe, Randal Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembele, Marco Asensio, and Goncalo Ramos. The PSG vs Brest Ligue 1 odds currently price the hosts as -250 favorites.

Brest Fighting for Champions League Place

Brest took on amateur club Trelissac in the Coupe de France round of 32 last weekend and fell behind 1-0 in the second half. Kenny Lala and Martin Satriano managed to score late goals to help Brest advance to the round of 16. It also marked Brest’s sixth straight win, in all competitions. They’ve been excellent defensively lately as they haven’t conceded a goal in any of their last four Ligue 1 matches.

On the back of their four-game winning streak, Brest has climbed to third place in the Ligue 1 standings. They’ve never played Champions League football but have a decent shot if they’re able to keep up their form. In their last Ligue 1 match, Brest defeated Montpellier 2-0 as Hugo Magnetti and Jeremy Le Douaron got on the scoresheet.

This season, Romain del Castillo has been a key player, with five goals and five assists in Ligue 1. Marco Bizot has kept clean sheets in eight of his 18 starts in goal but Brest hasn’t held PSG scoreless since 1991. Notably, Kamory Doumbia, Brest’s joint-leading scorer is away at AFCON with Mali.

Match Analysis & PSG vs Brest Odds

PSG’s last Ligue 1 loss was in mid-September and they’re 11-2-0 since then. Here, the PSG vs Brest Ligue 1 odds list the Parisians as -250 favorites, and PSG -1, -1.5 sits at -120 odds. PSG have already picked up 11 wins in the league by a multi-goal margin and they’re the most dangerous attacking team in the league.

Brest may be on a four-game Ligue 1 winning and shutout streak but those wins were over Montpellier, Lorient, Nantes, and Metz. None of those teams are currently in the top half of the table and PSG will present a much bigger challenge. Still, bettors can take Brest +1, +1.5 at -110 odds and they put up quite the fight vs. PSG in October’s 3-2 loss.

Brest are +665 underdogs for this one and they haven’t won on the road at PSG since 1981. All-time, Brest has a 1-5-11 road record vs. PSG. A draw displays +425 odds for this one, while both over and under three goals are priced at -115.
