Four Titles Headline Bellator 300 Event

The Best in the Business

The Bellator 300 event is packed with excellent MMA betting opportunities for bettors, including four title fights.

It’s one of the highlight events on the MMA schedule 2023, which is headlined by Nurmagomedov vs Primus and Cyborg vs Zingano.

There is also Bader vs Vassell and Carmouche vs Macfarlane, who are at the top of the Bellator rankings.

The Nurmagomedov Reign Continues

The highlight fighter on the Bellator 300 event card is Nurmagomedov, who is 17-0 following a submission win over Benson Henderson.

The superb Russian, who is still only 25 years old, has yet to fight in the UFC, but he has dominated Bellator, and we can’t see his unbeaten reign ending against Brent Primus.

Primus is a 38-year-old who is the massive underdog with MMA betting markets. He has two losses from his last three fights, and his most recent win came by decision.

We’re unsure how he’s the fourth-ranked fighter in the division, but Usman Nurmagomedov could take him down a peg.

“I think it’s very important to constantly have new challenges,” Nurmagomedov said. “To have some new threshold to cross. Because if you fight the guys that are easy to beat, yeah, that’s good for your record, but it’s not helping you much to grow as a professional [fighter].
“So it’s always good to get into deep waters, to have challenging guys, and to be competing with guys from the top.”

Betting against Nurmagomedov wouldn’t be wise, so take the shorts.

Cyborg Keeps Winning

We can’t wait for Cris Cyborg vs Kat Zingano, which sees two experienced fighters battle for the title.

Current champion Cyborg is 38 years old, but that hasn’t stopped her from winning six consecutive fights following a loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 232.

Her career has taken off since arriving in Bellator, and given the easier level of opposition, we’re not surprised.

She faces top contender Zingano, who is 41 years old. Zingano lost four of her last five fights in the UFC before coming to Bellator and winning four on the bounce.

She is another fighter appreciating the easier opposition, but beating Cyborg could be a step too far for the challenger.

Bettors should expect Cyborg to be favored to win.

Bader Going for Double

Ryan Bader has already beaten Linton Vassell by knockout at Bellator 186, but it came six years ago.

It has been a long time between drinks for these fighters, but Bader has had a better career after posting wins over Fedor Emelianenko and Cheick Kongo.

Vassell comes off a five-fight winning streak, so he’s good enough to be on the Bellator 300 event. However, he hasn’t faced the same level of fighters as Bader, a legend of the sport in both the UFC and Bellator.

Following the loss to Bader, Vassell went off the rails and lost his next two fights. His career was at a crossroads, but to his credit, he bounced back in fine style.

It should be a close fight, but Bader is the one to beat.

Carmouche All the Rage

Liz Carmouche is the worthy champion, and we can’t see her being beaten against Ilima-Lei Macfarlane.

Macfarlane is 13-2 after consecutive wins, but we haven’t been overly impressed with her form throughout her career.

Especially compared to Carmouche, who has fought the likes of Juliana Velasquez and Valentina Shevchenko. Her most recent loss came against Shevchenko at UFC Fight Night, but she is 6-0 since arriving in Bellator.

Like many aging MMA fighters, her career has taken off since moving to Bellator, and we don’t see her title reign ending at Bellator 300.
