Eastern Conference Brutes Bump Heads in Miami

Knicks vs Heat Odds, Matchup and More

Two of the toughest teams in the league meet for what should be a tough matchup on the hardwood. Both the Miami Heat and New York Knicks have been crippled by injuries for most of the season. But they have prevailed through top-10 defenses and gritty coaching, hence why the Knicks vs Heat Odds are tight.

We expect a defensive battle between these teams. We could easily see these two facing off once the NBA playoffs schedule has been solidified, and we are hoping for playoff-level intensity on Tuesday.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

The Miami Heat are coming off back-to-back wins against inferior opponents with a 12-point win over the Washington Wizards on Sunday and a 60-point dismantling of Portland on Friday.

The Knicks, on the other hand, are coming off two heartbreaking losses. One came in overtime to the Spurs and the other was a one-point loss to Oklahoma City on Sunday where Jalen Brunson narrowly missed a game-winning jumper.

The Knicks vs Heat odds opened at Heat -2.5 with a total of 206.5. We are going to examine some matchup trends, NBA stats, and NBA picks and parlays that may be interesting to bet on in Tuesday’s game.

Knicks Winning Identity

The Knicks are starting to build a winning identity again. They have made the playoffs as a fifth or higher seed in two of the last three seasons and are headed towards another season with home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

They are currently the third seed in the East, largely behind the incredible play of their Villanova trio of Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Donte DiVincenzo. Brunson and his All-NBA play have been the real reason the Knicks have been able to power through multiple injuries and win in a way Knicks fans haven’t enjoyed in a long time.

With Brunson dominating, Julius Randle, OG Anunoby, and Mitchell Robinson all missing significant time due to injury, it has barely mattered. Brunson has averaged 32.9 points and 6.5 assists in his last 10 games. On Friday, he dropped a career-high 61 points in a surprising loss to Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.

With Erik Spoelstra and the Heat likely focusing defensively on Brunson, we suggest looking at his assist prop for a possible over bet. As of Sunday, Brunson has gone over in four of his last six assists props. With Mitchell Robinson potentially back in the lineup, has another tool in his arsenal.

You Can Always Count on Bam

The Miami Heat continue to survive. Like the Knicks, they have dealt with injuries all season long, with Tyler Herro, Jimmy Butler, and much of their bench missing significant time with various ailments.

No matter what is happening with the Miami Heat though, it seems like they can always count on Bam Adebayo. He has been killing it lately with averages of 22.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in his last three games. He’s scored over 20 points in three straight games.

Bam has also been a rock for Miami on defense. Lately, he has been robbing defenders, notching at least a steal in each of his last four games, including five steals against the Cavaliers last week. Check out Bam’s steals bet for a fun prop opportunity this Tuesday.

The Heat Are Playing For More

Knicks vs Heat odds opened at Heat -2.5 with a total of 206.5, and we think this one could go either way. The Knicks are 7-3 against the spread in their last ten games while the Heat are 4-5-1. Miami tends to struggle against the spread (ATS) at home only being 14-22 while the Knicks are 20-16 ATS playing on the road.

The Knicks have  been trending slightly over on the total. They are 6-4 for overs in their last 10 games while Miami trends slightly under at 4-6. We think with the total of 207, the over is definitely in play.

One factor worth noting is the Heat’s positioning in the playoff race. The Knicks have almost locked up a top-five seed (although they will be fighting hard to keep home-court advantage in their first-round series). But the Heat are the seventh seed, fighting the Indiana Pacers (sixth seed) to make it out of the dreaded Play-In Tournament.
