Another Good Day for Over Bettors

High Octane Basketball on Display

It was another successful day for Over bettors in the NBA with five of the eight games comfortably clearing their respective full game totals. Let’s take a look at the NBA Wednesday Matchups Scores from across the league and see how the rest of the markets performed.

The Boston Celtics continued their elite offensive output at home as they comfortably took care of a shorthanded New Orleans Pelicans team at the TD Garden. The 125-114 final score saw them cover the -9.0 point spread as they also eclipsed the 229.0 point total to match.

The NBA’s next best team also flexed their offensive muscle as the Denver Nuggets routed a shorthanded Phoenix Suns team at home. The Suns were coming off a huge upset win over the Golden State Warriors but fatigue clearly caught up with them at altitude as they were blown off the court from the opening quarter.

The Nuggets led by 16 at the half as they put up 70 points in the opening 24 minutes. Things barely let up in the second half and the 126-97 final saw them comfortably cover the 14.5-point spread and assume complete control of their NBA Conference standings.

Despite their huge offensive output that saw them clear their individual Team Total the full game total stayed Under the 226.5 points as the Suns were held to just 43 points in the second half.

Bucks, Kings Build Momentum

The Milwaukee Bucks made it back-to-back wins as they secured a routine road win against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Hawks returned home from their four-game West coast road trip but were dealt a blow before tip-off with news that Trae Young would be forced to miss the game with an illness.

That saw the market move from Milwaukee -1.0 to a closing number of -4.5 in favor of the road team. The Bucks carried over the momentum they garnered in the fourth quarter against the Knicks as they led 39-19 after the opening quarter.

Atlanta rallied back in the second half however, with the team taking a 103-101 lead with 3:12 to play in the final quarter. The Bucks managed to close the game on a 13-2 run to come away with a 114-105 win that saw them cover the spread fairly comfortably.

The Kings also made it back-to-back wins as they comfortably dispatched of the Houston Rockets 135-115 on their home floor.

Sacramento closed as 9.0-point favorites and while the Rockets managed to keep it close for the large portion of the game things against went south in the final frame. Houston led 101-100 with 8:44 remaining before getting completely blown out by a red-hot Kings offense down the stretch.

Knicks, Grizz Defend Home Court

The New York Knicks held on to defeat the Indiana Pacers 119-113 at Madison Square Garden as the road team scrapped hard in the absence of key players.

Myles Turner was scratched at tip-off after initially being announced as a starter. Things got much worse for Indiana in-game as they lost Tyrese Haliburton to an ankle injury that saw him leave the arena on crutches.

The Knicks closed as 5.0-point favorites in this one and led by 21 points at the half before allowing Indiana’s second unit to get them back in the contest. A Buddy Hield and-1 saw them get to within three points with 1:22 to play before the Knicks closed out on a 7-1 run to secure the win and the cover.

Memphis made it back-to-back home wins against the same opponent as they held off the San Antonio Spurs at FedEx Forum.

‘The Spurs did cover the +13.5-point spread in their 135-129 loss that comfortably went Over the full game total of 241.0 points.’

In the other game on the East coast, the Pistons bounce back from their blowout loss in Philadelphia by manhandling the Timberwolves 135-118 on their home floor.

Minnesota lost Anthony Edwards for the entire third quarter with a hip injury and the Pistons took full advantage, opening up a 14 point lead heading into the final frame. While Edwards did return, the damage was very much already done.

The Wizards also came away with an outright win as home underdogs as they overcame the Chicago Bulls on a night where they were without Bradley Beal, Kristaps Porzingis and Daniel Gafford.

The Bulls were looking comfortable in the early goings and took a 14 point lead into halftime. Washington responded by winning the third quarter 41-21 and despite then scoring just 13 points in the final frame were still able to hold on for a 100-97 victory.
