Big 12 Basketball Parlays: Aiming Big in Tough Conference
Texas, Baylor Battle in Key Game on Saturday

It’s another great week of Big 12 Conference basketball action, highlighted by Saturday’s Texas vs Baylor matchup. But there are no bad games in the Big 12, as even the bottom teams in the standings are solid teams. The Sagarin college basketball ratings and Ken Pomeroy both have the Big 12 as the best conference in the nation and it’s hard to argue that point.

Oklahoma State (16-11) visits West Virginia (15-12) in a revenge game for the Mountaineers, who lost 67-60 at Oklahoma State. West Virginia is favored by 5 and the total is 143. The Mountaineers are a completely different team at home, boasting one of the best home-court advantages in college basketball.
West Virginia’s offense will get a test from a solid Oklahoma State defense. The West Virginia Mountaineers rank No. 20 in adjusted offensive efficiency. The Cowboys are No. 10 in defense. Oklahoma State isn’t a great offensive team. Those playing Big 12 basketball parlays could do a lot worse than taking West Virginia minus the points and the under.
Great game here, as Kansas (22-5) visits TCU (18-9) in a battle of ranked teams. TCU is favored by 1.5 and the total is 149.5. The Horned Frogs completely thumped Kansas 83-60 in Kansas last month but have fallen on hard times. The Horned Frogs have dropped four of their last five games.
TCU raced out to a 33-13 lead in the first 10 minutes of the first game and it was all but over. Jalen Wilson scored 30 points for Kansas, the same number of points as the rest of the team. If Kansas gets revenge it will be dependent on the team’s defense, so bettors looking to add to their Big 12 basketball parlays should take the Kansas Jayhawks and under if they like the Jayhawks.

Baylor (20-7) visits Kansas State (20-7) in another battle of ranked teams. This game is going to be close to even with a total of about 150. Baylor is No. 2 in adjusted offensive efficiency but Kansas State is No. 18 on defense.
The Baylor Bears score a lot of points from 3-point range, which happens to be the strength of the Wildcat defense. It’s going to be hard to top the first meeting between the two, which KSU won 97-95 in overtime. But the potential is there for another exciting finish.
Yet another great Big 12 Conference game between ranked teams, as the Iowa State Cyclones (17-9) visits Texas (21-6). Expect the Longhorns to be favored by 5 points with a total about 137.5. Iowa State won the first meeting between the two teams and the NCAAB latest scores show Texas is looking forward to the rematch.
The Texas Longhorns were nearly upset by Oklahoma on Saturday, most likely looking ahead to this game. The Cyclones live or die with their defense but Texas should be able to keep turnovers down in this one. If Texas plays a clean game, they’ll win and cover the number.

Things don’t get any easier for the Longhorns, as they travel to Baylor in a revenge game for the Bears. Baylor will be close to a 4-point favorite with a total around 156. Both teams rank in the top 12 in adjusted offensive efficiency.
The defenses aren’t bad, but not at the same level as the two offenses. The Bears shot below 40% in the first meeting and still lost by just five points. The Bears should get their revenge but the line makes this one a tough call for your college basketball picks and parlays.
Kansas State may be ranked, but the Wildcats will likely find themselves underdogs to Oklahoma State on Saturday. Expect the Cowboys to be close to 2-point favorites with a total near 138. The Cowboys are 11-3 at home this year.
Kansas State is just 3-6 on the road. Oklahoma State gets a slight edge defensively, while KSU is better offensively. But the Cowboys should be playing with a little more desperation, needing a few more wins to increase their postseason chances. The Cowboys could be a possibility for your Big 12 basketball parlays on Saturday.
The Mountaineers visit Kansas in what could be a letdown game for the Jayhawks. Kansas is coming off games against Baylor and TCU and now play a West Virginia team they beat by 14 points on the road. The Jayhawks should be close to an 8-point favorite with a total near 151.
Kansas is the better team but this is a case of how much the Jayhawks have left in the tank. West Virginia is hovering around .500 and should be playing hard. A .500 finish for a Big 12 team should be enough for one of the smaller tournaments.
