The Impact Of Arch Manning At Texas

Yes, we have numbers on Texas Quarterback Arch Manning. This one involves when Manning will get his first snap, and the numbers are interesting. ‘Does Not Start’ is a -150 favorite, followed by games 1-3 (+200). Games 4-6 are +400, with everything after that +500.

We know that Quinn Ewers will be the starting quarterback for Steve Sarkisian, but the key to winning this wager is knowing where Manning will fall on the depth chart. If you think the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning will beat out Maalik Murphy for the back spot, then a game 4-6 wager may be the way to play it. If not, then the 7-12 option looks attractive.

We project that Manning will be third on the depth chart, making a collapse by the Longhorns the only likely way Manning gets a start in 2023. We going to lay -150 that he won’t play with a smaller wager on game 1-3 in case he does take that second spot and Murphy is ineffective.

We’d love to get better odds on whether or not the Irish will join the ACC full-time, but -700 to bet ‘no’ isn’t an option. This has been a school that has been courted by the Big 10 and ACC for decades and they simply won’t budge because Notre Dame’s independence is still special and financially rewarding to the storied program.

The Irish open their NCAA football games schedule Saturday in Dublin, Ireland against the Naval Academy. Of course, there are props starting with the first scoring play of the game. We think the Irish will pound it in the end zone with star back Audric Estime’ behind an offensive line that will remember being shut out in the second half of last season’s game.

The first scoring play of the game is -140. Notre Dame will score a touchdown, and we’re all-in on that. The second prop is the race to 35 points. The Irish are -125 to get there first, and with a high-scoring game expected, we don’t think the over will hit because the Midshipmen put up 35 points.
