PAC-12 Teams Win Totals: Oregon Will be Hunting Trojans for Win Title

Stanford Hoping to Crack 3 Wins

The PAC-12 Conference may not be in the mix for the top conference in college football. But there are a number of solid teams in the PAC-12. The PAC-12 win totals have six teams with with numbers of 8.5 or higher. That tells you two things. First, there is no clear-cut favorite to win the conference. Secondly, a number of PAC-12 teams are playing soft non-conference schedules.

The USC Trojans and Oregon Ducks have the lowest odds to win the conference. Those two teams also have the highest win totals posted. On the other end of the spectrum, Colorado and Stanford have the highest odds to win the conference. With that, comes the lowest win totals.

USC Trojans 10 Wins (Over -110, Under -120)

Southern California has the highest of all the PAC-12 teams win totals at 10. The Trojans have two pretty tough games on their schedule. USC travels to Notre Dame on Oct. 14. Southern Cal visits Oregon on Nov. 11 in a game that will likely decide the regular season PAC-12 champion.

The college fb schedule has USC hosting UCLA on Nov. 18, so it’s a tough finish to the season. It wouldn’t be a shock to see the Trojans win exactly 10 games.

Oregon Ducks 9.5 Wins (Over -110, Under -120)

The Ducks get Southern California and Oregon State at home, but do travel to Utah and Washington. If Oregon is able to knock off USC, they’ll have a trap game at Arizona State the following week.

The Ducks have plenty of talent and a returning quarterback in Bo Nix. USC may be slightly better on paper, but it’s never easy going into Autzen Stadium and knocking off the Ducks.

Washington Huskies 9 Wins (Over -110, Under -120)

The Washington Huskies have a favorable conference schedule that should help the team get at least nine wins. A trip to USC will be a tough game to win, but the Huskies do host Oregon and Utah. Even if the Huskies stumble in a game, they should still reach nine wins. Therefore, there’s probably some value in the over with Washington.

Oregon State Beavers 8.5 Wins (Over Even, Under -130)

The Beavers are probably the toughest team to get a good read on in the PAC-12 Conference. If D.J. Uiagalelei continues to improve, the Beavers are a conference title contender. If he doesn’t, OSU could be looking at seven wins and a minor bowl berth.

The Beavers are going to need the defense to pave the way once again. Oregon State has an easy non-conference schedule and should be 3-0 entering PAC-12 play.

UCLA Bruins 8.5 Wins (Over Even, Under -130)

The Dante Moore era is about to begin for UCLA and he’s a good one. But replacing Dorian Thompson-Robinson won’t be easy for the Bruins. UCLA does have several tough road games on the schedule, with trips to Utah, Oregon State and USC.

The Bruins lost a fair amount of talent from last year’s squad, but has some solid players coming in. Still, it’s unlikely UCLA can match the success of last season. The Bruins will be a good football team. But it may not happen this year.

Utah Utes 8.5 Wins (Over +110, Under -140)

Utah doesn’t get the the attention some of the other PAC-12 teams do, but the Utes are typically solid. They’re going to have to be good this year to have a chance at exceeding the PAC-12 teams win totals number. Utah travels to USC, Oregon State, Baylor and Washington.

The Utes get Oregon at home, but that’s not an automatic win. How quarterback Cam Rising comes back from his ACL injury may loom big for the Utes in the new season.

Washington State Cougars 6.5 Wins (Over -110, Under -120)

The Cougars have the looks of a six- or seven-win team, so the 6.5 number definitely makes sense. Washington State is going to need to see improved play from Cameron Ward at quarterback.

That should go a long way in determining how the Cougars fare this season. WSU is a step below the top teams in the conference. But the Cougars are also a notch above the weaker teams in the conference. The Cougars have Colorado State, Wisconsin and Northern Colorado on the non-conference schedule.

Arizona Wildcats 5 Wins (Over -110, Under -120)

The Wildcats are slowly climbing their way back to respectability, which isn’t easy to do in the PAC-12. There are a number of good football teams in the conference. Arizona’s offense wasn’t bad at all last season. The same can’t be said for the defense.

The Wildcats simply have to do a better job against the pass. That’s easier said than done with all of the solid quarterbacks in the conference this season. If the defense improves a little bit, the Wildcats could be looking at six wins and a bowl berth. Arizona could be a team to watch in the college fb lines this year. They should be a little better than expected.

Arizona State Sun Devils 5 Wins (Over +105, Under -125)

The PAC-12 teams win totals have ASU at five wins and that’s a manageable number for the Sun Devils. Arizona State is going to need quarterback Drew Pyne to play well, but the Notre Dame transfer has some talent.

The Sun Devils were active in the transfer portal and are going to need the players to come together quickly. But the first half of the schedule isn’t that bad. It’s the second half of the season that is brutal. The Sun Devils play Washington, Washington State, Utah, UCLA, Oregon and Arizona to wind-up the regular season.

Colorado Buffaloes 3.5 Wins (Over +130, Under -160)

The Colorado Buffaloes should be a better football team in 2023 than they were last year. While a number of players entered the transfer portal after meeting with Deion Sanders, those are the same players who were 1-11 last year. Seeing many of them depart is probably a good thing.

Travis Hunter is the big name joining the Buffaloes and he’ll live up to the hype. He’s that good and it can’t hurt him to learn about playing cornerback from Sanders. But that type of talent is a rarity at Colorado right now. Colorado should win three or four games to begin their climb back to the top tier of the conference.

Stanford Cardinal 3 Wins (Over -105, Under -125)

The PAC-12 teams win totals for Stanford is just three games. That shows how quickly Stanford has fallen. But back-to-back three-win seasons doesn’t bode well for this year’s edition.

Non-conference games against Hawaii and Sacramento State look good for two wins. But Stanford’s other non-conference game is the season finale against Notre Dame. To reach three wins Stanford will have to win at least one PAC-12 Conference game. That could be asking too much from the Cardinal this season.
