Rams vs Cardinals Game Prediction & Trends

The Rams haven’t won a game against the spread since defeating the Arizona Cardinals 26-9 on October 15. The Rams have lost four straight since. But that team the Rams beat in October isn’t the same team as now. Either way, the Rams are 4-5-1 against the spread and have hit the Under in seven of ten games this NFL season.

On the other hand, the Cardinals might be 2-9 this season, but they’re 6-4 against the spread. The Over has hit in six of 11 games for the Cardinals this season. While Arizona is 0-6 on the road, they’ve at least won two games at home. The Cardinals are set to be the home team against the Rams this weekend, where the Rams are 2-3 away from home.

Los Angeles has defeated Arizona in four of their last five games. The Rams have also covered in four of those five games. Meanwhile, the Under has hit in three of the previous four games between these two.

Darrell Henderson Waived, Kyren Williams Activated

The Rams have had a wild ride with running backs this season.

The Rams strictly used Kyren Williams to begin the season. Because of that, backup Cam Akers asked to be traded. Eventually, he was traded to the Vikings, leaving the Rams with Ronnie Rivers as the backup. But when Williams got hurt, the Rams signed Darrell Henderson, Royce Freeman, and other running backs until Williams returned.

Williams is set to come back from the injured list this week. Therefore, Henderson’s services are no longer needed. Henderson was cut, and now Williams will be the go-to guy. Williams has rushed for 456 yards on 97 carries and has six touchdowns. He was a workhorse before and figures to be a workhorse again.

Cardinals Expect Murray To Be The Guy

At the start of the season, many wondered if the Cardinals would stick with Kyler Murray or try to add a new quarterback to the roster in the offseason. Although the Cardinals have been just 1-1 since Murray’s return, His partnership with head coach Jonathan Gannon looks strong.

After last week’s loss to the Texans, Gannon and Murray reportedly watched the film together on the plane ride home. Gannon enjoys Murray’s fire in his gut and thinks it’s cool. The two have talked much about football over the last couple of weeks. That bond will only help as the season progresses.

Expect Plenty Of Points!

Although Cooper Kupp could miss Sunday’s game for the Rams due to an ankle sprain, the Los Angeles Rams should still have success offensively. After all, the Cardinals have allowed 25.82 points per game while giving up 217.45 yards in the air and another 132.09 yards on the ground this season.

With Murray and Conner back in the mix, the Cardinals look better. But those two aren’t playing on the defensive side of the ball. The Cardinals are weak against the run. They’ve also missed plenty of tackles. The pass rush isn’t playing at a high rate, and the secondary is average at best.

This season, Matthew Stafford has played well for the Rams. He’s got nine touchdowns and eight interceptions but has thrown for 2,260 yards. The interceptions have always been an issue for Stafford. But he’s playing against a below-average defense. That should only help.

On the other hand, the Rams have been awful in some areas defensively, too. The pass rush has been fun to watch. However, the secondary is dreadful, and the missed tackles continue to pile up for the Rams.

James Conner should have no problem bursting through the Rams’ defense. Meanwhile, Murray runs well on his feet a year after ACL surgery. He’s also shown off his arm a few times down the field since returning. Murray looks excellent and has a new target in Trey McBride, who is finally breaking out at tight end with Zach Ertz on the shelf.

Some Los Angeles Rams games are unwatchable. But this divisional game against the Cardinals should be exciting on the NFL game schedule.

We’re torn on who will win this game for our Rams vs Cardinals game prediction. However, looking at the NFL odds for this game, the Over 44.5 is the most appealing bet in this game.
