Ravens vs Bengals betting odds: Bengals Back for More

Quarterbacks Look To Get Going After Division Rivals Baltimore and Cincinnati Meet Again

Baltimore Running Game Takes A Hit with Injury to Star Back Dobbins

Coming into the NFL season, there were plenty of questions about the passing ability of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. However, when looking at the Ravens vs Bengals betting odds, Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow is the only healthy starting quarterback who failed to throw for at least 100 yards in Week 1.

Already with one AFC North loss this season, the Bengals look to avoid dropping its first two division games with Baltimore coming to town.

Looking at the NFL point spreads, Cincinnati is favored by 3.5 points against the visiting Ravens. It is the sixth straight meeting when the home team is also listed as the favorite. There has been very little movement in the line.

When looking at the NFL defense stats, Baltimore is 14th in the NFL in total defense with an average of 268 yards per game, with Cincinnati ranking 24th with 350 yards allowed in the loss to Cleveland.

Cincinnati has won four of the last five meetings with Baltimore, with four of those games finishing over the total. The previous two meetings, including a 2022 playoff matchup, went over the total by just one and four points. The early money has been nearly split, so this could be one of the more competitive games on the Week 2 schedule.

Cincinnati and Baltimore are tied at +200 in the odds of winning the AFC North Division title.

In the odds of winning the Super Bowl, the Bengals come in sixth at +1400, with the Ravens tied for seventh at +1600.

Ravens Lose A Key Piece

Baltimore used a 15-point third quarter on the way to a win over Houston. The Ravens won 25-9 as a 9.5-point favorite. However, it came at a price as running back J.K. Dobbins suffered a season-ending torn Achilles.

Jackson led the Ravens in rushing with a modest total of 38 yards, and the loss of Dobbins could prevent a running back from leading Baltimore in rushing rather than Jackson doing the honors.

Gus Edwards and Justice Hill combined for 41 yards on 16 carries, so that is something that needs to be addressed. Injuries to come key offensive linemen need to be monitored during the week.

Dobbins’ absence could play a factor in the Ravens vs Bengals betting odds.

Burrow Looks To Bounce Back

Cincinnati was fifth in the NFL with a 14-5 record against the NFL betting lines a season ago, with Baltimore 10-8. The Bengals were 6-1 when listed as a home favorite in 2022 as the Bengals head into their 2023 home opener.

Plenty of eyes will be on the passing game after a nightmarish performance in the season opener as Burrow was 14-of-31 for 82 yards as the Bengals, with perhaps the best set of receivers in the NFL, averaged by 2.6 yards per passing attempt. Keep that in mind when looking at the Ravens vs Bengals betting odds.

Ja’Marr Chase had just 39 yards on five catches as Cincinnati, a one-point favorite, lost 24-3 to rival Cleveland. He had 24 catches for 211 yards in three meetings with Baltimore in 2022.

Last Meeting

Cincinnati won 24-17 in the wild-card round of the playoffs, although the Ravens did cover as the eight-point underdog. Baltimore had a chance to take the lead in the fourth quarter before Sam Hubbard returned a fumble 98 yards for a touchdown. The game finished just over the 40-point total.

Jackson missed the game due to injury. Burrow was sacked four times and had just 208 passing yards.

Ravens vs Bengals Injury Update

Baltimore tight end Mark Andrews, who missed the season opener with a quad injury, is questionable, as are offensive linemen Tyler Lindenbaum and Ronnie Stanley, as well as safety Marcus Williams.

For Cincinnati, defensive end Joseph Ossai is questionable with an ankle injury.

What to Expect

Neither offensive line had a performance for the ages in Week 1 and that will be a key to this NFL matchup, with both teams having the ability to rush the quarterback.

The total of 46.5 is the second highest in the last seven meetings. between those teams

Cincinnati is going after its eighth straight home win, with the Bengals 5-2 against the spread in the previous seven games.

While the Ravens have covered in four of their last five games, Baltimore is just 1-4 in its last five road games.

The total has gone over in five of the last six times that Baltimore played in Cincinnati.

The total has gone under in seven of Cincinnati’s last 10 contests.
