USFL Week 10 Odds: Stallions Ride Into Memphis as Favorites
Birmingham Small Favorites Over Breakers in Week's Top Game

The USFL Week 10 odds show all four games should be competitive, as the highest point spread is four points. The totals are also tightly grouped. Over/unders range between 40.5 and 44.5 in each of the contests for the final regular season games of the year. All eight teams are alive for the playoffs. Only the Birmingham Stallions have clinched a spot.

Pittsburgh Maulers vs New Jersey Generals
Date, time:
Location: Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium (Canton, Ohio)
Streaming: USA
Both teams enter this game with 3-6 records. But with the way the USFL standings have played out, the winner of this game will advance to the playoffs. If Philadelphia losses, the winner of this game will win the division with a 4-6 record. The USFL Week 10 odds have New Jersey favored by 3.5 with a total of 40.5. The Maulers picked up a win over Michigan last week to give themselves a chance for the playoffs. Pittsburgh took advantage of four interceptions to post a 19-7 victory.
The Generals ended their losing skid with a 37-33 victory over Philadelphia to remain alive in the playoff chase. New Jersey led 37-16, but the Stars scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to make it interesting. The Generals got back to running the ball, gaining 147 yards and scoring three times. The Generals are at their best when rushing the ball. The Maulers have the best rushing defense in the league, so something will have to give.
Birmingham Stallions vs Memphis Showboats
Date, time:
Location: Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium (Memphis, Tennessee)
Streaming: FOX
The USFL odds have Birmingham favored by 3.5 points with a total of 44. The Stallions have the best record in the league at 7-2 and are in the playoffs regardless of what happens here. Birmingham will clinch the division with a win or New Orleans loss. But New Orleans will win the division with a win and a Birmingham loss. Memphis needs a win and a Houston win to have a shot at the postseason.
The Showboats were thumped 31-3 by New Orleans last week, so Memphis has nobody to blame but itself if it comes up short of the playoffs. In the team’s biggest game of the season to date, the Showboats turned the ball over five times. You’re not going to win when that happens. Memphis will play better here, but it may not be enough against Birmingham.
Sunday, June 18
New Orleans Breakers vs Houston Gamblers
Date, time:
Location: Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium (Memphis, Tennessee)
Streaming: FS1
The Week 10 USFL odds have New Orleans favored by 4 with a total of 44. The Breakers have won two straight and simply need to win this game to advance to the playoffs. New Orleans will know if it has a chance to be division championships before it takes the field. Either way, the Breakers have to beat the Gamblers.
Houston was thumped by Birmingham last week 38-15 in a game that was closer than the final indicated. The Stallions led 17-15 entering the fourth quarter, but scored three TDs to pull away at the end. The Gamblers settled for five field goals, which isn’t how you win games in the USFL.
Philadelphia Stars vs Michigan Panthers
Date, time:
Location: Ford Field (Detroit, Michigan)
Streaming: FOX
There will be plenty of empty seats at Ford Field for this one, which could actually be an entertaining game. The Week 10 USFL odds have Philadelphia and Michigan even with a total of 42. The winner of the game will play next week. The loser can pack their bags and head home. Both teams have looked good at times and not too impressive at others. The Stars have been a little more consistent.
The Panthers are 0-4 at home this season. But a win here would make up for the team’s previous failures. The key for Michigan is going to be to pressure the quarterback and take advantage of Philadelphia’s weakness in pass protection. But the Panthers are going to have to get the offense going. Michigan’s 148 points are lowest in the league. But Pittsburgh isn’t far behind. The under could be the way to go in this one.
