The National Hockey League returned to action on Monday night after a brief hiatus with this weekend’s All-Star Game festivities in Florida. With six games on tap, NHL Monday games scores saw plenty of good action. Let’s take a look at last night’s NHL scores games in review.

The Florida Panthers beat their hated rivals, the Tampa Bay Lightning, scoring seven goals in a rout as short home underdogs. Fresh off his All-Star MVP honors this weekend, forward Matthew Tkachuk scored two goals and added three assists on the night as goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky made 32 saves on 33 shots faced for his 13th victory of the season.

One troubling note for the Panthers, star Aleksander Barkov left the game with a hand injury and did not return for the third period.

Forwards Mika Zibanejad and Filip Chytil each scored two goals as the New York Rangers pick up the overtime win at home over the Calgary Flames.

Goalie Jaroslav Halak made 28 saves over 32 shots faced for his sixth straight win on the year. Blake Coleman and Andrew Mangiapane scored for the Flames, who have now lost four of their last seven games. The total flew Over the closing number, giving the Flames their fifth Over in the last seven road games.

With the Win, the Rangers snapped a five-game losing streak against Calgary.

The Arizona Coyotes outduel the Minnesota Wild as large home underdogs, winning 3-2 on a game-winning goal by forward Jack McBain with just under seven minutes left in regulation.

Jakob Chychrun scored two goals while goaltender Karel Vejmelka made 33 saves on 35 shots faced to earn the victory. Kirill Kaprizov scored his 28th goal of the season for Minnesota, who have now lost four of their last six games.

• Newly acquired forward Bo Horvat recorded four shots on goal, while Mat Barzal and Kyle Palmieri scored for the New York Islanders, who have now won three games in a row after beating the Philadelphia Flyers by a score of 2-1. Goalie Semyon Varlamov made 25 saves on 26 shots faced for the win, which marked the forth loss in the last five games for the Flyers.

• The New Jersey Devils extend their 14-game winning streak versus the Vancouver Canucks, including 8 straight wins in Newark, as New Jersey picks up the 5-4 win in Overtime on a goal by forward Jesper Bratt just 42 seconds into the extra frame. Defenseman Dougie Hamilton and forward Jack Hughes each tallied three points for the Devils.

• The Dallas Stars hold on for a 3-2 shootout victory against the Anaheim Ducks as large home favorites to snap a brief three-game losing streak. Goaltender Jake Oettinger made 32 saves on 34 shots faced for his 21st victory of the year while Roope Hintz and Nils Lundkvist scored in regulation for Dallas.
