Head-to-Head

Atalanta vs AC Milan predictions should take into account the fact that the Rossoneri are unbeaten in the last five meetings of this fixture. Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Atalanta Hit Rough Patch of Form

Atalanta fell 3-0 at Torino on Monday in a Serie A match. It marked their third loss in their last four Serie A matches. Duvan Zapata, Atalanta’s all-time Serie A leading scorer, scored twice in his first match vs. his former club. Now, Atalanta have just a 6-2-6 record and are in eighth place in the Serie A standings.

Since the beginning of October, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are just 2-2-4 in Serie A. Monday’s match was also the first time La Dea failed to score in a match for over two months. This season, Gianluca Scamacca has been Atalanta’s leading scorer in Serie A, but he’s out injured.

He joins Jose Luis Palomino and El Bilal Toure on the injured list. However, Palomino is reportedly back in training and could bolster Atalanta’s defense. Without Scamacca, Gasperini could start Luis Muriel up front. Charles de Ketelaere started at Torino, but Atalanta drew a blank with him at striker. The Serie A odds price Atalanta as +150 favorites for this one.

Milan Win Without Giroud and Leao

Luka Jovic finally scored his first goal for AC Milan in a 3-1 win over Frosinone last Saturday. Jovic opened up the scoring and also assisted Fikayo Tomori for Milan’s third. Stefano Pioli now has Jovic as a solid option when Olivier Giroud, who was suspended last weekend, can’t suit up. Giroud is one of the Serie A top scorers, with seven goals this season.

Meanwhile, Christian Pulisic isn’t far behind with five goals of his own. Pulisic scored Milan’s second goal vs. Frosinone and has played well since joining from Chelsea over the Summer. However, Rafael Leao is out injured with a thigh injury and he’s undoubtedly the Rossoneri’s most dominant player.

Along with Leao, Malich Thiaw, Noah Okafor, Simon Kjaer, and Pierre Kalulu are all out. With a few center backs out, Pioli opted to start left back Theo Hernandez centrally vs. Frosinone. We could see more of the same at Atalanta on Saturday.

Match Analysis & Odds

AC Milan are unbeaten in their last three matches in Bergamo. The first of our Atalanta vs AC Milan predictions is that the Rossoneri will avoid defeat once again. Milan have lost just one of their seven road matches this season, and getting Giroud back should boost their chances here. Regardless, Atalanta are +145 favorites, and Atalanta pk comes in at -130 odds for this one.

Meanwhile, AC Milan pk sits at +110, and the visitors are +195 moneyline underdogs. Half of the goals Atalanta have conceded this season have come in the last four matches. Bettors can take a draw at +235 odds and neither team would be too upset with that result.

In Giroud’s return to the Rossoneri lineup, we predict he’ll get on the scoresheet in this one. Punters can take Olivier Giroud as an anytime goalscorer, at +245 odds. This is expected to be a low-scoring match, though, as under 2.5 goals are priced at -125 odds.
