Two of the NFC’s genuine contenders meet in Week 3 for a game many will mark as the highlight of the whole weekend. These sides boast two of the greatest quarterbacks we have ever seen, with 7 NFL MVP awards between Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. Who will come out on top in Green Bay Packers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and how will the NFL betting odds call it?

Ever since Brett Favre took his leave from Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers has been the star of the team, and little has changed as he heads toward his 40th birthday. A 4th-league MVP award plus a gigantic new contract is enough to have Rodgers all revved up to begin another quest to reach the Super Bowl. But all is not rosy in Titletown. Rodgers’ favorite receiver Davante Adams was traded to the Raiders, thus thinning out the receiving corps. It may be a season for more classic NFC North football, relying on the Packs’ fearsome defense to deliver some tough wins.

He may have only been there for two seasons, but Tom Brady is as important to Tampa as Rodgers is to Green Bay. Brady is the most successful football player that the NFL has ever seen, and the Buccs will be thanking their stars he reversed his retirement in February of this year. Tampa Tom is showing no signs of slowing down and was an MVP candidate last season well into December.

The head-to-head between these sides is 33-23-1, with Green Bay holding the edge. The last time they met was in the 2020 NFC Championship Game when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers shocked everyone by beating the Pack 31-26.

If you’re betting on NFL games in Week 3, bet that this one will be settled by a field goal or less. These are two quality sides, so it should be a nip and tuck affair. We would give the slight edge to the Buccaneers at home, but it could go either way.
