UFC 274

UFC 274 features a lightweight championship bout between titleholder Charles Oliveira and challenger Justin Gaethje. It’s not far from the latter’s hometown. The UFC returns to Phoenix for the first time since February, 2019. Odds list the champ a slight favorite.

In the co-main event is a strawweight championship rematch, as Rose Namajunas looks to avenge her 2014 loss against Carla Esparza. The UFC 274 betting odds have Namajunas as the favorite. She was also favored in 2014.

UFC, Explained

Events like UFC 274 are numbered, generally pay-per-view cards, occurring about once a month. It’s where UFC offers the biggest fights, top to bottom, as these have higher-quality fights and fighters than the free events, known as UFC Fight Nights.

How to Bet on UFC 274

Betting on UFC 274 is available as soon as fight odds are released by the sportsbooks, sometimes just days after a fight is confirmed (a few months before the event, in some instances). By the week of the fight, expect there to be plenty of action on the UFC lines.

If you’re betting on the UFC, do so early, especially when it comes to certain fighters. By the time of the fight, some fighters may be offered at unaffordable levels. “The early bird catches the worm,” as they say.
