Stuttgart vs Frankfurt Lines, Preview

Frankfurt Unbeaten on Road at Stuttgart Since 2018

Ten Game Bundesliga Unbeaten Streak for Stuttgart

Stuttgart significantly boosted its Champions League hopes by defeating Borussia Dortmund 1-0 last weekend. Die Roten, in third place in the Bundesliga, now hold a seven-point lead over both RB Leipzig and Dortmund.

Stuttgart will play another formidable foe on Saturday, when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt in another Bundesliga contest.

Frankfurt haven’t won any of their last three matches, but they’re in sixth place in the league. As Stuttgart attempt to complete their first league double over Frankfurt since 2014-15, we’ll cover the Stuttgart vs Frankfurt lines.

Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt Head-to-Head:

This is the second and final opportunity to bet on the Stuttgart vs Frankfurt lines this season. Heading into the last meeting between these sides, Eintracht Frankfurt held a nine game unbeaten streak vs Stuttgart.

Stuttgart promptly ended that streak as they picked up a 2-1 victory in Frankfurt in November. Deniz Undav scored both of Stuttgart’s goals in the match. Still, Stuttgart haven’t picked up a home win over Frankfurt on the Bundesliga schedule since 2018. Four of the last eight matchups overall have finished in draws.

Guirassy on Scoring Streak for Stuttgart

Stuttgart are on pace for their first Champions League appearance since the 2009-10 season. On Saturday, they defeated Borussia Dortmund for a third time this season as Serhou Guirassy scored the game’s only goal.

Guirassy has enjoyed, by far, the best season of his professional career, with 24 Bundesliga goals. He ranks second in the Bundesliga stats in goals, behind Harry Kane, and first in goals per 90 minutes. Guirassy’s teammate Deniz Undav has also scored 15 times.

At the moment, Stuttgart are level on points with second-placed Bayern Munich but behind on goal difference. It’d be a massive achievement if Die Roten are able to finish ahead of Bayern this season. Stuttgart have played quite well vs fellow top six teams this season, with a 4-1-2 record in the Bundesliga.

Guirassy has scored in each of his last five matches and Stuttgart have averaged 2.4 goals per game during that time.

Stuttgart have also gone 11 games without a defeat at home, in all competitions. The last time they fell at the MHPArena was last October to Hoffenheim. Unfortunately, Undav and Josha Vagnoman are out injured for this match.

Meanwhile, defender Dan-Axel Zagadou is out for the rest of the season. With Vagnoman and Zagadou out, Sebastian Hoeness will hope Anthony Rouault can return in time for this match.

Eintracht Frankfurt Missing Two to Suspensions

Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp was quite busy during last Friday’s match vs Werder Bremen. He made a number of good saves but could only parry the ball into the path of Milos Veljkovic as the visitors took the lead.

The match changed with Jens Stage’s red card, and Frankfurt pushed for an equalizer with a man advantage. Willian Pacho’s cross found Tuta, who scored on a looping header.

However, Tuta picked up a straight red card a few minutes from time and will miss Frankfurt’s match at Stuttgart due to suspension, along with Junior Dina Ebimbe.

With the 1-1 draw vs Bremen, Eintracht Frankfurt remained in sixth place in the German Bundesliga standings. Frankfurt have been a difficult team to beat this season. Although they’ve won just 10 of their 28 games this season, they’ve successfully avoided defeat in 22 of those games.

No team has drawn more matches (12) than Frankfurt and each of their last two have finished all square.

Omar Marmoush has been Frankfurt’s main man up top, with 10 Bundesliga goals and six assists. However, the Egyptian is currently on a five-game goal drought.

At the moment, Ellyes Skhiri, Sebastian Rode, and Sasa Kalajdzic are all out with injuries. Bettors should note that Frankfurt have conceded in six straight Bundesliga road matches.

Match Analysis & Odds

Defender Tuta has started every match he’s played this season for Frankfurt, and he’ll be missed on Saturday. Stuttgart have scored 14 goals in their last five Bundesliga home games and they’ll look to take advantage of Frankfurt’s absences. Currently, the Stuttgart vs Frankfurt lines list the hosts as -190 favorites.

Stuttgart are stronger than they’ve been in quite some time and even though Undav is injured, Chris Fuhrich has been a good tertiary option. The winger has scored seven goals and provided seven assists this season. Bettors can take Eintracht Frankfurt as +465 odds, and they hold a 4-5-5 record away from home in this campaign. A draw is priced at +360 odds as well.

Currently, Stuttgart -1 shows -120 odds, and they’ve won four of their last six home games by a multi-goal margin. Over three goals display -115 odds for this one, and both teams have scored in each of Frankfurt’s last three road games.
