MLS Week 15 Odds and Preview: Current MLS Standings

Season rolls on into Week 15

What a week in MLS! Fans had the pleasure of watching two matchdays in a single week! It was even better that teams played to their full strength and left it all on the pitch during the two matchdays. From Cincinnati they were distancing themselves from the pack to the Sounders dropping another egg against a rival. MLS Week 13 and 14 had it all! As we move to MLS week 15, we expect things to improve.

Current MLS Standings

Near the top of the tables, there was little change besides one big one in the East. However, the bottom halves of the tables saw some shakeups that could lead to better things for those teams.

Despite an embarrassing loss to Austin, the Seattle Sounders stay on the top of the west, but LACF is hot on their tails with two games in hand. Interestingly enough, St. Louis CITY SC continues to drop more and more as their early season form begins to falter.

After a fantastic showing in the East, FC Cincinnati moved to the top by three points and now leads the Supporter’s Shield race. Charlotte FC has started to turn things around as they keep moving higher and higher.

Key MLS Week 15 Matches

While the matchups for MLS week 15 are not the most entertaining at first glance, there are still two key matches everyone betting on MLS should watch this weekend.

Those matches are St. Louis CITY vs. Vancouver Whitecaps and Nashville SC vs. Columbus Crew.

St. Louis CITY SC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps, Saturday @ 5:30 pm PT

St. Louis and Vancouver are coming off two massive wins in their chase for the playoffs. St. Louis is one of the best-pressing teams in the league and can score from nearly anything. While the Whitecaps have one of the best defenses, they are vulnerable to the press. In a match that could go either way, our bet is on the Whitecaps.

Nashville SC vs. Columbus Crew, Sunday @ 5:30 pm PT

The battle for the top four! Nashville and Columbus have the quality to make this the best game for any soccer fan. Nashville has been on a fantastic run and has made its way to second in the East. Columbus will be coming off a tough loss against Cincinnati, so they will be motivated to get their season back in order. Columbus could get the upset and could provide an excellent payout for bettors.
