LAFC is coming off the back of winning the 2022 MLS Cup and is the favorite to win again this season. MLS had delayed the start of LAFC’s 2023 season because of the weather conditions that hit LA. Despite that, they are still the clear favorites against the Portland Timbers, who won their first match 1-0 against Sporting KC.
The Timbers are a dangerous team and have spoiled LAFC’s run before. It might be worth a risk betting on Portland at +500.

St. Louis was lucky to get their first win on their league debut. They came back and surprisingly won 3-2. No one would expect them to win their second game, especially against another newcomer like Charlotte. Charlotte barely lost to New England 0-1 and will look to bounce back.
Betting on either team would be a solid bet considering their both sit at +210 and +215, respectively. However, it would be safer to go with Charlotte as they are the better side on paper.

Meanwhile, Real Salt Lake came from behind to rescue a 2-1 win against the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Sounders will have two key players returning from injury so that both teams will be fully fit.
