2023-24 NBA Predictions: Joker vs Robins, Denver & Boston
Nuggets, Celtics Fav's Per Current Preseason Odds

It’s never too early to make 2023-24 NBA predictions. With the release of the NBA game schedule, the odds are out on how each team (except Portland) will fare this season. At the top are the Denver Nuggets for obvious reasons: they’re the champs. Nikola Jokic a.k.a. “The Joker” laughs as the Boston Celtics, led by the dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, gear up to return to the NBA Finals.
The Upcoming NBA Season: What The Odds Say
Expected Win Totals for All 30 NBA Teams in 2023-24
The Nuggets are at the top of the 2023-24 NBA predictions per the projected regular season win totals. Denver won 53 games last season but won just two of its final seven games on account of resting Jokic. Not too far behind are the rest of the title contenders in Boston, Milwaukee, and Phoenix.
In the tail end are the usual suspects: four of the five teams at the bottom finished as the four worst teams in 2022-23. Then there is Washington, which traded away its best players in a clear signal to start over.
The Blazers are conspicuously off the board thanks to Damian Lillard’s inactivity. The team is prepared to sit him out until they get a trade offer they like.
Who’s Winning The NBA Title?
It might still be Joker’s world as the Nuggets are tied with the Celtics at +500 to win the NBA title per the 2023-24 NBA predictions and odds. The Miami Heat, who were runner-ups last season, are 10-1 to finish the job. Milwaukee and Golden State, the last champions before Denver, are lined at +650 and +1200, respectively.
The Bucks did not make many major moves but re-signed several of its key players. The Warriors traded for longtime All-Star Chris Paul, who Phoenix also dealt. His old team, the Suns are at +650 after having acquired Bradley Beal, who continued to fill up NBA player stats in 2022-23.
What About the In-Season Tournament?
New this coming season is the NBA’s In-Season Tournament. Each team is separated into new divisions within their respective conference. And the outright odds are similar to the usual NBA predictions but with Boston (+600) leading Denver (+700).
Others with the shortest odds include Milwaukee, Phoenix, and Golden State all at 11-1 to win the championship game scheduled on December 9, 2023.
