When James Harden got traded to the Clippers, it looked like their season was over. However, after a rocky start, they have come together nicely.
Harden isn’t setting the court alight, but with the likes of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on the floor, he doesn’t need to be anything overly impressive.
After posting eight consecutive wins and nine wins from their last 10 games, momentum is on the Clippers side.
They are 7-3 against the spread during this stretch, and that’s why NBA betting odds have them favored to beat the Mavericks on the road.
Despite having a losing road record (5-7), they have earned the respect of the sportsbook. It’s hard to disagree with the odds considering their form, and they have no serious NBA injuries to note.

The Slovenian superstar is doing his best with 32.9 points per game, but there no other reliable scoring options, and it’s telling.
They have done well to post a 16-10 record, but we didn’t like what we saw against the Denver Nuggets, losing 130-104.
There was not only a lack of offense, but they looked tired on defense, and even Doncic didn’t make the effort to get back at times.
“They were playing great,” said Luka Doncic, who had 38 points and 11 rebounds despite feeling under the weather. “But everybody played great on their team. They were just sharing the ball. There was a lot of open shots for them. They played a really good game.”
To include them in our Clippers vs Mavericks prediction, they will need to play as a team, but with Kyrie Irving off the court, it’s starting to catch up with them.
They are only 5-7 ATS at home, so they have been a much better bet away from home. It could make it tough to include them in our NBA predictions, especially getting just 2.5 points against an in-form team.
We expect more money to come for the Clippers, as bettors don’t have much patience for the Mavericks at the best of times.
