Rockets Ready for Takeoff, Face Clippers
Clippers vs Rockets Odds

The Houston Rockets host the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, and there could be an upset on the cards.
Clippers vs Rockets odds have the Clippers favored to win at -6.5, but the Rockets have beaten the Suns twice within two weeks, so they have upset potential.
They looking to avenge a 106-100 loss to the Clippers in November, but a lot of water has gone under the bridge since.

Date, time:
Are the Clippers Overrated?
We don’t enjoy using the word ‘overrated’ but it usually applies with the Clippers.
They are 39-21 following a 113-106 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, which is a harder matchup than facing the Rockets. However, with three losses from their last five games, they’re not impressing us.
We have been impressed defensively, including limiting the Minnesota Timberwolves to 88 points. However, the offense continues to play inconsistently, and we expect more from the likes of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
“We just had to stay in it, stay with it,” George said. “Shots weren’t falling for both sides. I thought we just stayed in and played a full 48 minutes. We weren’t making shots. Only other thing we could have done is made it tough for them to make shots.”
Covering a -6.5 spread on the road won’t be easy. They are 16-15 ATS on the road, and Russell Westbrook is out injured, so it’s not all sunshine and rainbows for the visitors.
LA Clippers statistics show they are 3-7 ATS from their last 10 games, so there are more negatives than positives for them on Wednesday.
Un-Sengun Hero
Alperen Sengun has to be one of the most underrated players in the NBA.
The international player averages 20.8 points and 9.1 rebounds per game with NBA player stats, and yet we barely hear him mentioned in the media.
That’s mostly because he’s playing for the Rockets, but they have a fine young team, which is only going to improve with time.
They might have a losing record, but the Rockets are tough to beat at home. They have been a great wager at Toyota Center, including going 19-10-1 ATS.
That’s tough to overlook, and with another tidy performance from Sengun, the Clippers vs Rockets odds could look inviting for the upset.
Despite losing consecutive games to the Thunder, they bounced back with a stellar 118-109 road win over the Suns. Performances like that should give bettors hope, and they’re not playing for draft picks, unlike some teams.
Those days are gone. The Rockets are there to win, and despite their NBA playoff standings looking grim, they have enough time to get it back to .500.
A High-Scoring Houston Cover
We expect the Rockets to cover the spread and the over 224.5 to cash.
The Rockets have shown they are more than accustomed to covering the sportsbook number, and they only lost by six points in the first meeting on the road.
Returning home, where they are a much better team, only helps their chances.
Bettors might feel that it’s a risk to back them to keep it close against a talented Clippers roster. However, the Clippers are never a sure bet, and they can look poor at times.
It should also be a high scoring contest. The Clippers defense has been solid of late, but we think it will be a free flowing game with plenty of made threes.
Include the over 224.5 with Clippers vs Rockets odds.
