Visiting Seahawks Look for Some Payback Against the Rams

Quarterback Matthew Stafford Could Be Back in Action When the Rams Play the Seahawks

Seattle Looks To Keep Pace With San Francisco in the NFC West Division Race

The surprising Seattle Seahawks have rebounded rather nicely from a season-opening loss to the Rams and now look to earn a split of the season series. The Seahawks at Rams predictions have the game listed as a Pick’em among the NFL point spreads.

Seattle has won three of its last four games to move into a tie for first place with San Francisco in the NFC West standings, with the Rams looking to snap a three-game losing streak.

Seattle’s Bobby Wagner, who returned to the Seahawks after spending last season with the Rams, ranks sixth among the NFL tackle leaders. Offensive linemen Abraham Lucas and Damien Lewis, receiver Tyler Lockett, and tight end Colby Parkinson are questionable for Seattle.

For the Rams, defensive back Cobie Durant, defensive lineman Bobby Brown and offensive lineman Rob Havenstein are questionable. Running back Kyren Williams could return in Week 12.

The Seahawks have seen their odds to win the NFC West move from +200 to +450 since the season began, with the division-winning odds for the Rams going from +1000 to +5000.

Seahawks Off And Running

Seattle ranks eighth in the NFL in points in the first quarter, putting up six points per game in the opening quarter. Despite leading after the first quarter in three of the last five games, the Seahawks only rank 27th in the NFL in rushing attempts per game. That could factor into the Seahawks at Rams predictions. It will be interesting to see if talented running back Kenneth Walker gets a more significant role moving forward as the Seahawks make their playoff push.

Seattle is just 5-12-1 against the NFL odds in its last 18 football games.

Perfect Time for a Bye Week?

It is looking good for the Rams to get quarterback Matthew Stafford back on the field, and second-year running back Kyren Williams could be a week away from returning.

The bye week also helped players who were ailing but not enough to miss time. Will it aid an offense that scored 40 points in a three-game losing streak going into the bye week?

Despite being 14th in total offense, the Rams are just 22nd in scoring offense and rank 28th in fourth-quarter scoring. Keep that in mind when looking at the Seahawks at Rams predictions.

The total has gone under in four of the last five NFL games played by the Rams.

Last Meeting

The Seahawks were favored by 4.5 points in the Sept. 10 meeting, but the Rams outscored the Seahawks 23-0 in the second half to win 30-13 as the Rams improved to 3-1 in their last four trips to Seattle.

The 30-13 win by the Rams just missed going over the 44-point total, as three combined missed field goals led to the matchup going under the total.

The road team has won four games between the Seahawks and Rams in the last six games.

Seahawks vs Rams Betting Preview

The Seahawks and Rams are both 4-4-1 against the NFL betting lines this NFL season, as this has a feeling of a game that could come down to the final drive or two. Seattle has covered in two of its four road games with the Rams. The teams are a combined 7-12 against the total this season, with the total set at 46.5 for this matchup.

Rookies Devon Witherspoon of the Seattle Seahawks and Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams are among the players to watch, and they could go head to head with Nacua leading all rookies in catches and receiving yards with Witherspoon one of the top cover corners in the class. Nacua is tied with Detroit running back Jahmyr Gibbs at +1600 for the best odds to be named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Witherspoon (+200) trails only Philadelphia defensive lineman Jalen Carter in the odds to be the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

The Rams have covered in nine of their last 11 games against the Seahawks.

With Boye Mafe recording sacks in seven straight games, Seattle is fourth in the NFL with 3.3 sacks per game.

Seattle needs to improve in the fourth quarter, ranking 22nd in points allowed in the fourth quarter. However, only four teams have scored fewer points in the fourth quarter than the Rams. There has been plenty of line movement for this game, with Seahawks favored by three points just 10 days ago.

The Rams have won just one game at home, while just two of Seattle’s first six wins have come away from home.

Seattle will be motivated to return the favor after the Rams won on the road in the season opener, and that could spell trouble for a Rams team trying to snap a three-game losing streak.
