Serie A: Juventus vs Torino Betting Odds, Preview

First Derby Della Mole of the Season

Both Teams Coming Off Scoreless Draws

On Monday, Torino couldn’t find a breakthrough vs. Verona as they played to a scoreless draw. Atalanta vs. Juventus also finished scoreless last Sunday as Wojciech Szczesny rescued a point for the Bianconeri. Now, in the historic Derby della Mole, Torino will make the crosstown trip to the Allianz Stadium to take on Juventus on Saturday. Juve has dominated this fixture lately, but Torino has lost just one of their last five matches. We’ll preview the Juventus vs. Torino betting odds ahead of this Serie A clash.

JUV Juventus vs Torino TOR

Date & Time: Location: Allianz Stadium, Turin, Italy

Head-to-Head:

Juventus have dominated their intra-city rivals Torino over the last few decades. The Bianconeri are unbeaten in all competitions in the last 18 meetings of this fixture. The Serie A results show that Juventus completed the double over Torino last season, with 4-2 and 1-0 wins. Two of the last five derbies at the Allianz Stadium have finished in draws.

Juve’s Szczesny Redeems Himself

Last week, Juventus played two matches and scored one goal and conceded none. Wojciech Szczęsny came under fire for his performance in the 4-2 loss at Sassuolo a couple of weeks ago but kept two clean sheets afterward. Juventus hosted Lecce last Tuesday and ended with a 1-0 win as Arkadiusz Milik scored the game’s only goal. On Sunday, Juve went to Bergamo for a match vs. Atalanta.

La Dea had more chances in the match, and Szczesny made an incredible save on a Luis Muriel free kick. Without a breakthrough on either side, the game finished scoreless. The Bianconeri are currently in fourth place in the Serie A table, four points behind leaders Inter Milan. Banned from European competition this season, Juve can completely focus on their Serie A campaign. While they haven’t been one of the best soccer bets today, Juventus have kept four clean sheets in seven matches.

On the offensive end of the pitch, joint-leading scorer Dusan Vlahovic is injured and figures to miss Saturday’s derby. Milik is also nursing a calf injury, which means Federico Chiesa and Moise Kean could start up front again. Chiesa has been one of Juve’s biggest dangers this season and has scored four goals. Alex Sandro and Mattia De Sciglio are injured, while Paul Pogba remains suspended.

Torino Struggling to Score

In their last three matches, Torino have scored just one goal and are 0-2-1 during that time. Neither Torino nor Verona got on the scoresheet in a draw on Monday. Torino didn’t create many good chances and failed to score in last Wednesday’s 2-0 loss at Lazio. In four home matches this season, Torino have scored just twice and conceded once. While they’re only traveling a few miles away on Saturday, almost all of the scoring in their matches has been on the road.

Il Toro is 1-2 on the road so far, with four goals scored and six goals conceded. Serbian attacking midfielder Nemanja Radonjic has scored three of Torino’s six goals this season. Torino also took Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata on loan this season, but he’s found the net just once so far. Juventus vs Torino betting odds.

Torino have struggled to create chances this season, and the Juventus vs Torino betting odds price the visitors as +355 underdogs. Their starting XI is reasonably solid and they’ve proven to be competitive, as they currently occupy the last spot in Serie A’s top half. Still, defender Alessandro Buongiorno is injured, and the lack of goals so far has been concerning.

Match Analysis & Odds

Heading into Saturday’s Derby della Mole, hosts Juventus are -120 moneyline favorites. Juve fans have come to expect wins in derby matches vs. Torino, but the Bianconeri are missing two attacking players here. It’s up to Federico Chiesa and Moise Kean to step up here. We could also see more of Filip Kostic, who has a rocket for a left foot.

The Juventus vs Torino betting odds also price Juve -0.5, -1 at +115 odds and Torino +0.5, +1 at -135. The visitors haven’t won at Juventus since 1995 and are +355 underdogs. Two of the last five Serie A meetings at the Allianz Stadium have finished in draws, though, and another one shows +255 odds.

Torino’s matches have averaged under two goals per game so far, but over two goals show -155 odds for this one. In seven games, Torino has put just 17 shots on target, and their opportunities figure to be limited here as well.
