Steelers vs Colts Highlights
The Steelers are in uncharted waters this year as they try to adapt to life in the wake of Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement. While he was clearly past his best and heading to the end of his career last year, it’s always a tough transition when a veteran QB leaves stage left. They drafted Kenny Pickett in the first round, though, and he will be challenging for the starting job before long. They also have reigning defensive MVP TJ Watt tearing it up, so they can always bring the firepower. Can they slow down the Colts enough to give the offense a chance?
The Colts have a playoff-ready roster. It just depends on whether new-old QB Matt Ryan is the answer at quarterback and can take the team forward. While the whole team can take the blame for last season’s collapse and notorious Week 18 loss to Jacksonville, Carson Wentz was the scapegoat and was sent packing as a result. Ryan does seem to be an upgrade, and with Jonathan Taylor dominating at running back, surely they can get to the playoffs in 2022.
The Steelers own the Colts in the head-to-head series, leading 26-6. They have also won the last 7 straight games against Indy. If you bet on NFL games, it wouldn’t be a bad option to wager on this run continuing. While the Steelers are weakened, their D is still among the best and can grind out a road win here in Week 12.
