Just when we thought Kylian Mbappe’s New Year’s 2024 Resolution was to be more decisive, the French superstar continues leading Real Madrid on while teasing us with his admiration for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool FC, the Premier League squad that would certainly put their bank balance in the Reds, should they consider such a move.

According to many reports, the forward from Paris Saint-Germain will decide on his future at the club over the next few weeks. If he chooses to leave the French capital, it is widely believed that Real Madrid and Liverpool are his most probable destinations.
The contract of the France international at PSG will end in June, and he has chosen not to activate his option for a one-year extension. As a result, he can now engage in discussions with other clubs over a potential transfer during the summer, per the Bosman decision.
However, after years of feeding into the soccer rumors covering Mbappe and his desire to play elsewhere, it’s been a consistent letdown. And on that note, should Mbappe remain in Paris (AGAIN) after years of transfer talk, we riot!

Mbappe to Liverpool or Real Madrid?
Dedicated enthusiasts say Madrid continues to be the top candidate to secure his signing. The club has made many attempts to get his signature since he was 11 years old, with the closest occurrence happening in May 2022 when they believed that he had agreed to join, only for him to ultimately choose to remain in Paris.
Contrary to the soccer news stories in France on Monday regarding Mbappé’s alleged agreement to join Madrid, reliable sources have not confirmed the existence of any agreement. They have stated that there is still ongoing communication between the two parties.

According to ESPN’s sources, Mbappé has expressed his admiration for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp for a while now. The 25-year-old striker has not dismissed the possibility of joining the Premier League.
The Problem Is, Can Liverpool Afford Such a Transfer?
For context, the current Mpabbe contract is for around $712,000 per week at PSG. Currently, The Reds would need to sell one of Klopp’s organs to meet those figures.
Of course, the potential departure of Liverpool’s star man, Mohammad Salah, would be the perfect cash injection to secure a Mbappe contract; however, the timing is off, as the Frenchman is expected to decide his future sooner rather than later while Salah is in mid-season soccer games as Liverpool are seriously challenging for the EPL title and various cup competitions.
When the smoke clears and the dust settles, perhaps Mbappe will have us all on; it wouldn’t be the first, so don’t be surprised if he’s still competing for Paris this time next year.
The club is certain that by making Mbappe a central figure in their strategy, together with the successful debut season under coach Luis Enrique–with Paris leading the domestic division and progressing to the knockout rounds of the Champions League–they would be able to persuade him to remain with the team, after all.
