UFC Fight Night – Nov 19
It’s a heavyweight headliner for UFC Fight Night 215 (also UFC on ESPN+ 73 / UFC Vegas 65.) This weekend, November 19th, gets two-time title challenger Derrick Lewis fighting against rising contender Sergey Spivak in a top-15 clash of titans.
As trends have it, Lewis is a UFC KO king, having 13 total wins via TKO/KO, undefeated at the UFC APEX, and it’s his 10th main event in the UFC. Still, his last 6 fights ended in a finish. In spite of his back-to-back losses, he is seeking to grab his victory on Saturday over Spivak.
As for Spivak, he has back-to-back TKO victories over Greg Hardy and Augusto Sakai; winning against Lewis should bat him spiraling into the division’s top 10. UFC odds should favor Spivak here, as Lewis has had a rough UFC fight schedule, the latter having lost his last two by knockout.
Spivak’s last loss, on the other hand, came against Tom Aspinall, but he has won five of his last six bouts in total. Considered the worst thing that can happen to Lewis at this time, he has the skills to stop heavyweights in their tracks.
Derrick Lewis vs Spivak is the main UFC event for this weekend. But before it, UFC Fight Night 215 features plenty of UFC fighters worth paying attention to. Muslim Salikhov, the “King of Kung Fu” fights Andre Fialho, potentially set as a sizable favorite in Welterweight division. Another Heavyweight bout sees Chase Sherman vs Waldo Cortes-Acosta, and Jack Della Maddelena vs Danny Roberts, in a Welterweight clash.
There’s also the fight with Ion Cutelaba against Kennedy Nzechukwu – Light Heavyweight division, and, on the women’s side, flyweight Maryna Moroz looks to earn a title shot if she can get past Jennifer Maia. All real yummy for some juicy UFC betting!
How To Bet on UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs Spivak
The UFC betting lines should open for the next UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs Spivak close to the event. The main event typically gets to open first. These markets are the moneyline and totals where you bet on who wins the fight, straight-up, or if the round totals go over or under the bookmakers’, respectively.
Another market of note is the props. This is a significant portion of MMA betting as it allows UFC betting fans to potentially make lucrative returns, if they can correctly predict such things as the round of victory or method of victory – or a combination of both. Keep checking the rest of the the UFC schedule and props for the next UFC fight events.
If you’re betting on Lewis, remember he needs to really damage Spivak as fast as he can to be able to come out of this a winner. We’re thinking the only manner in which Lewis can score on this headliner is through a KO. There are no skills, or resistance, in this 37-year old with a career that’s winding down. He can probably get finished before the decision.
As for Spivak, he doesn’t have the most value regarding his moneyline, but prop bets are probably the way to go with him. The prop bet to win inside the distance is currently set at -150, which tells you what the odds gods think about this bout. There’s a stark possibility of Spivak ending this too quickly for Lewis’ comfort, a victory in the first few rounds.
