Oddsmakers Expect Wide Margins For Week 10
Despite a big upset this past week, the oddsmakers are unfazed. The Toronto Argonauts return as the second-largest favorites on the CFL Week 10 odds as they take on the Ottawa Redblacks. Just ahead of them are the Winnipeg Blue Bombers who open as 12.5-point favorites over the winless Edmonton Elks. Montreal and BC are also favored by at least five points. Either this week features lopsided matchups or there are more upsets coming.
CFL Week 9 Review: Down Go the Boatmen
The Toronto Argonauts are undefeated no longer. Despite opening as eight-point favorites, the widest they have been to this point, the Argonauts lost to the Calgary Stampeders. The underdogs also held the Argos to a season-low seven points.
Starting quarterback Chad Kelly got hurt and sat out after the first half. The news is that the team might sit Kelly until after the bye week. If that’s the case, Cameron Dukes will start for Toronto. The backup completed eight of his 15 passes for 63 yards and an interception. The team failed to score after Kelly threw a touchdown pass in the first quarter.
As such, the total for this game also went under as it was the lowest-scoring game of the week. But the other matchups more than made up for the lack of scoring here.
The Blue Bombers returned the favor against the Lions by blowing them out 50-14. Winnipeg covered the total by itself and its half-century mark is the most it scored since Week 14 last season. Saskatchewan and Ottawa also combined to score 50 points in what was another closely contested game for the latter.

Winnipeg is largely favored to extend Edmonton’s historic home losing streak to 22 games. The Elks have not won in Edmonton since 2019. In fact, the team has not even covered at home at all this season (0-4 against the spread (ATS)). The Blue Bombers have also beaten the Elks in eight straight meetings. Edmonton last beat Winnipeg in 2018 and its gap in the CFL standings to continues to widen each season.
🏈 Roughriders vs Alouettes 🏈

Record: Roughriders (4-4)/Alouettes (4-3)
This battle of “mid” pits CFL teams that continue to be inconsistent. But one thing might be more predictable here: this will be a low-scoring game. At least, the total of 43.5 points is the fewest for the week. Trevor Harris is sidelined for Saskatchewan and it may have a harder time scoring. Eight of Montreal’s last nine home games have also gone under the total.

The Stampeders handed Toronto its first loss. The CFL schedule does Calgary no favors as it now faces a pissed off Lions team that just got embarrassed by the Blue Bombers. As such, Calgary is a five-point underdog. But Dave Dickenson’s crew is resilient and a terrific road team. The Stamps have covered on 14 of its last 20 road games.

Dukes leads the Argonauts as it hosts the Redblacks in the final game this week. The CFL Week 10 odds give Toronto 10.5 points to cover in what is expected to be the highest-scoring game with a total of 48.5 points. The Argos average over 32 points a game as Ottawa has allowed an average of 26+ points in its last four games. The Redblacks are also just 1-4 ATS in its last five games in Toronto.
