NFL Draft Prediction Betting: Williams Huge Favorite For No. 1
Maye Small Favorite Over Daniels For No. 2 Pick
The 2024 NFL Draft is still several months away, but mock drafts have been taking place for many months now. There doesn’t seem to be much doubt that Caleb Williams will be taken first in the draft. But stranger things have happened.
Those who are confident in their ability to predict the draft now have the opportunity to make some cash from their prowess. NFL draft prediction betting has become a way for NFL fans to have some action during the spring. With the NFL Draft becoming a huge event, betting on the draft is becoming more popular.
Odds to be First Overall Pick
Caleb Williams (-1000)
Nearly every NFL mock draft has Williams going No. 1 to the Chicago Bears. Even though the Bears have Justin Fields, they’ll likely trade him at a discount to snag Williams.
The Bears could get quite a haul if they trade the No. 1 pick and keep Fields, but they’d also lose half their fanbase. Williams has the tools to be a franchise quarterback in the near future.
Drake Maye (+600)
There’s no doubt Maye has all of the tools you want to see in a quarterback. But Williams is viewed as a better prospect. If the Bears really wanted Maye or even a different quarterback, they could trade down.
Marvin Harrison Jr. (+1000)
Harrison would appear to be the only one capable of upsetting the apple cart. If Chicago wants a quarterback, it’s going to be Williams. If it wants a wide receiver to go with Fields, they takes Harrison. But with other decent receivers available at No. 9, it’s hard to imagine the Bears doing this.
Jayden Daniels (+1400)
Daniels has seen his NFL betting odds drop quite a bit over the last six weeks and is climbing the charts in various NFL mock drafts. There’s no denying his athletic ability and he’s an amazing two-way threat at quarterback and it wouldn’t be a huge shock to see him go at No. 2. But first overall might be a stretch.
J.J. McCarthy (+2800)
McCarthy is another who has seen his draft stock shoot up recently. He’s now looking like he’ll go in the first round, but it’s hard to see any NFL team taking him ahead of Williams, Daniels or Maye.
First QB Selected Odds
The odds on who is the first quarterback selected are nearly identical as the first overall draft pick. The lone difference is Maye is +550 instead of +600. But if you’re going to partake in NFL Draft prediction betting and like Williams, this is a better wager for you.
If for some unknown reason Chicago elects to keep Fields and takes Harrison, Washington will surely pounce on Williams at No. 2. You would lose with Williams if you bet him to be No. 1 overall, but win with him at the same odds here.
First Non-QB Selected
Marvin Harrison Jr. (-650)
If things go as planned, Harrison should be the first non-quarterback to be taken at No. 4 by the Arizona Cardinals. That would give Kyler Murray a legitimate threat to get the ball to. If taken by Arizona, Harrison could be among the NFL leaders at receiver as a rookie.
Joe Alt (+800)
There are fewer things NFL fans like less than seeing their team draft a lineman in the first round. But whoever winds up with Alt is going to be happy. The guy is a stud on the offensive line. It’s not a sexy pick, but it’s a good one. But it’s doubtful he’ll be taken before Harrison.
Malik Nabers (+1200)
Nabers had a brilliant NCAAF season at LSU and will be a top 10 pick. But it’s a case where a team needing a wide receiver will grab Harrison if given the choice. Nabers will be a solid consolation prize.
Laiatu Latu (+1200)
Latu has seen his stock rise and is a solid choice for teams needing to boost the pass rush. But there are others that may fit the bill better, such as Dallas Turner. There’s also no guarantee a few of the defensive backs won’t come off the draft board before Latu.
Final Pick of the NFL Draft
While there’s some skill and logic in most NFL Draft prediction betting, there’s also a bit of guesswork and luck involved in others. This wager lets you you bet if the final player taken is an offensive player or kicker at -130. You can bet the final pick is a defensive player or punter at -110.
Right now, the New York Jets have the last pick in the draft. But who they take will decide the outcome of a number of bets. You can also wager on the position the player plays, with quarterback being the favorite. It’s a tough bet to make, but if you’re looking for a fun wager to close out the NFL Draft, this could be it.
