Philadelphia Eagles 2023 Future Odds: Super Bowl, Conference, Division, Regular Season Wins and Player Props

Eagles Eye Return to Super Bowl

After winning 14 games and advancing to the Super Bowl last season, many people are asking what the Philadelphia Eagles can do for an encore. Plenty, if you believe the preseason odds on the Eagles. Last year’s odds had the Eagles just on the outside looking in. This season the team is one of the favorites and the 2023 Philadelphia Eagles stats are expected to be more impressive than last year’s.

Eagles Seek to Soar Past Expectations Once Again

The Philadelphia Eagles were expected to be a good team last season. But they weren’t expected to be a great one, which turned out to be the case. The Eagles sailed past last year’s season win total of 10 with a 14-3 record. That tied Kansas City for the best record in the NFL. Of course, the Chiefs won one more game than the Eagles did in the postseason, the Super Bowl.

The Eagles did lose five defensive starters from last year. Philadelphia used two first-round draft picks on defensive players and also signed veterans Terrell Edmunds and Nichols Morrow. Morrow was the Bears’ leader in the NFL stats in tackles and signed for the league minimum. Edmunds is also a solid player. The defense will be close to last year’s, although it may take a little bit of time to get there.

The offense will be a big part of the Eagles’ success once again with quarterback Jalen Hurts coming off a monster season. He’ll be back and joined by most of his favorite weapons from a year ago. Having another year under his belt certainly will work to his advantage and the 2023 Philadelphia Eagles stats on offense have a good chance to be near the top of the league again. Philadelphia was third in total offense last year. There’s no reason why they can’t repeat those numbers.

Super Bowl Odds: Eagles Favored Out of NFC

Last season, the Eagles were +2500 to win the Super Bowl before the season started. This year, the NFL odds are a lot lower at +800 for Philadelphia. It’s hard to fault anybody who likes Philadelphia. The Eagles nearly won it last year and have the majority of their key players back. Philadelphia will enter this season with a bit more big-game experience and a desire to get back to the Super Bowl. But this time leave with the Lombardi Trophy.

Conference Odds: Philadelphia Looks to Outlast 49ers, Cowboys

The Eagles are just +325 to win the NFC title. That’s a far cry from last year’s odds of +1200, but it’s certainly justified. The new defensive players could take a couple of months to come together and play as a cohesive unit. But by the time the stretch run of the regular season and the playoffs take place, the Eagles should be at the top of their game. The 49ers will put up a fight and the Cowboys could pose a problem. But the NFC appears to be down a little bit this season.

Division Odds: NFC East Should be Two-Team Battle

The Eagles are expected to get their biggest challenge for the division title from the Dallas Cowboys. That makes sense. Dallas was the division favorite last season and is the second choice in betting for this season. The Giants had an impressive season last year but should come back down to earth a little bit. Washington isn’t a bad football team. But it’s not a good one, either. It’s unlikely that Washington can finish above the other three teams and avoiding the basement is a more realistic goal than a division title.

Regular Season Wins: Big Number, Bigger Talent

The Eagles were stuck with a lofty number of 11.5 wins, meaning Philadelphia will have to go 12-5 to go over its win total. That’s a tough ask for any NFL team. But with the team they have, there is no reason the Eagles can’t get there. Although it’s not going to be easy. The Eagles have the home-and-home series with division rivals Dallas but also have the likes of San Francisco, Kansas City, and Buffalo on the slate.

Philadelphia probably has the toughest five-game stretch of any team in the NFL. In consecutive games, the Eagles host Dallas, visit Kansas City and return home to host San Francisco and Buffalo. The Eagles then visit Dallas. The following week in Seattle won’t be a pushover, either. Especially coming on the heels of the previous five games. It has “letdown” written all over it.

The Eagles can’t afford to take any games off if they want to get to 12 wins. The talent is there. It’s more a question of Philadelphia’s intensity during the regular season.

To Make Playoffs: Bettors Believe Eagles Close to Sure Thing

The Eagles were -190 to make the playoffs last year and wrapped up a postseason spot pretty early. Bettors are expecting the same thing this year, as the Eagles are -450 to make the playoffs this year. Barring an injury to hurts, Philadelphia should at least advance to the playoffs.

Side Bets

There are a number of other bets you can make on the Eagles and many of them involve Hurts and what his 2023 Philadelphia Eagles stats look like. Hurts is tied for being second-favorite in the MVP race at odds of +800. The odds of Hurts winning the Offensive Player of the Year Award are a little more generous at +2000. Hurts is down the list a little bit in passing yards, as he’s +2800 to lead the league and +3300 to lead the league in rushing.

But not all of the odds surround Hurts. Philadelphia’s two prized rookie defensive players are in the running for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Jalen Carter is the second betting choice at +650. Nolan Smith isn’t too far behind that at odds of +1400. The future of the Eagles’ defense looks promising.
