Andy Reid: Taylor Swift Superfan

The KC Chiefs Seem Unstoppable at the Moment, But Just Wait for Real Team to Come Knocking

Taylor Swift x Chiefs Is a Winning Formula

The NFL news of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce breaking up is going to fill this jaded Raiders fan with life when it happens. However, for now, it’s absolute hell. The international megastar is having a real effect on the Chiefs right now.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Breaking Down The Stats

2023 Chiefs with Swift in attendance: 4-0 record, 28.5 points per game, 432.3 total yards per game; Kelce: 108.0 receiving yards per game.

2023 Chiefs without Swift in attendance: 2-1 record, 21.3 points per game, 349.3 total yards per game, Kelce: 46.5 receiving yards per game.

Numbers Don’t Lie

The NFL standings don’t lie and the Chiefs are tied for the best record in the league. Kelce must be trying to show off when Swift attends NFL games as he’s more than doubling his receiving yards when she shows up.

For his part, head coach Andy Reid is all about having Swift at games.

“Taylor can stay around all she wants,” Reid said following the Chiefs’ 31-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Kelce already was widely considered one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history before Swift but now a wider audience is seeing it. Patrick Mahomes had some high praise for the future Hall of Famer.

“I think the main thing is the way he’s able to recognize coverage and adjust on the fly,” Mahomes said of Kelce. “We always talk about it, but it’s something that you can’t take for granted. It’s almost like he’s playing Madden like he can read the coverage and stop in the windows and be open and be on the same page as me at all times. He did a great job, it seems like he does it week in and week out, and that’s why he’s the player he is and why he’ll be a Hall of Famer one day.”

While many have thought that this whole Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce deal has been a marketing ploy, it’s starting to seem like it might be real regardless of NFL rumors. I mean, good for them, I guess. The Chiefs are infinitely annoying and this just makes them more annoying but maybe if other teams were better, nobody would care.

Until teams start catching up to the Chiefs, they’re going to be the face of the NFL. It’s going to be a long season if they keep winning and we might get 1000s of shots of Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl so can somebody in the AFC please step up and take the Chiefs down for once?
