When these teams met three weeks ago in the first leg of the Coppa Italia Semifinal, it was the second meeting in four days’ time. Juventus went to Sardinia for a match at Cagliari in Serie A last Friday. The Bianconeri conceded two penalties in the first half and fell behind 2-0 heading into the break. Vlahovic managed to get a goal back with a nicely taken free kick, in the 61st minute. Juventus equalized as Cagliari scored a late own goal. Despite rescuing a point, Juve’s recent Serie A scores have been disappointing.
With back-to-back draws, Juventus are now completely out of the Serie A title race. They are, however, the favorites to win the Coppa Italia for the first time in three seasons.
