Lazio vs Juventus Head-to-Head

When these teams met three weeks ago in the first leg of the Coppa Italia Semifinal, it was the second meeting in four days’ time. Lazio Grab Back-to-Back Wins

It’s looking more and more likely that Lazio’s roster will look significantly different next season. Felipe Anderson is returning to Brazil and Luis Alberto has already said he wants to terminate his contract. That didn’t stop the Spanish attacking midfielder from scoring the Biancocelesti’s winner on Friday at Genoa. Daichi Kamada provided the assist for Alberto in the 67th minute and Igor Tudor’s men managed to hold on.

The win was Lazio’s second straight in Serie A as they challenge for a European place. They finished the weekend in seventh place, seven points outside of the top four. However, they could be one of the Serie A teams that finish the season strongly, with a new coach and a relatively easy schedule. The Coppa Italia remains Lazio’s last hope for silverware this season but they have a mountain to climb.

Prior to the first leg Semifinal loss to Juventus, Lazio picked up 1-0 wins over Genoa and Roma in the round of 16 and Quarter-Final, respectively. In three Coppa Italia matches, Lazio have scored just once from open play. With injuries to goalkeeper Ivan Provedel and starting outfield players Mattia Zaccagni, Matteo Guendouzi, things become more complicated for Lazio.

Juventus Dominating in Coppa Italia

Juventus went to Sardinia for a match at Cagliari in Serie A last Friday. The Bianconeri conceded two penalties in the first half and fell behind 2-0 heading into the break. Vlahovic managed to get a goal back with a nicely taken free kick, in the 61st minute. Juventus equalized as Cagliari scored a late own goal. Despite rescuing a point, Juve’s recent Serie A scores have been disappointing.

With back-to-back draws, Juventus are now completely out of the Serie A title race. They are, however, the favorites to win the Coppa Italia for the first time in three seasons. Juventus show -150 odds to go on and win but they’ll need to make sure they hold onto their lead here. After all, Lazio were the last team to defeat Juve.

Vlahovic and Chiesa have been the main men for Juventus all season on the attacking end of the pitch. Defensively, Juventus have conceded just one goal in three Coppa Italia games. Backup keeper Mattia Perrin has played all three Coppa Italia matches so far and that could continue come Tuesday. Fabio Miretti and Moise Kean are set to miss out here due to injuries.

Lazio vs Juventus Match Analysis & Odds

Juventus have outscored their opponents 12-1 in the Coppa Italia this season. However, four of their last seven matches, in all competitions, have finished in draws. Here, the Lazio vs Juventus lines list any outcome as reasonably likely. Juventus are +150 road favorites, while Lazio come in as +190 underdogs.

Of course, a draw would mean Juventus advance to mid May’s final. As long as the Bianconeri don’t lose by two or more goals, they’ll be celebrating Tuesday’s result. In fact, they haven’t lost by more than a one goal margin since September.

It’ll take Lazio’s best effort to advance here and they show just +700 odds to qualify for the final. Bettors can take Lazio pk at even odds and Juve pk at -130 for this match in Rome. Under 2, 2.5 goals are priced at -120 odds in what could be a low scoring match. Juventus will try to slow down the pace and make Lazio work for it.
