MLS Week 19 Betting Preview: MLS Current Standings

MLS Gettin Craazee!

Last week, MLS fans saw some of the craziest goals we’ve seen all season! Those insane goals, combined with the goal fest of a weekend and the Messi to Inter Miami news, made week 18 one to remember. Can MLS Week 19 bring all that and more?!

Here’s everything fans need to know going into MLS Week 19.

Current MLS Standings

Near the top of the tables, there was little change except for an exciting development in the West. However, the middle of the tables saw some shake-ups that could lead to better things for those teams.

After only taking one point away from home this week, the Seattle Sounders stay in second place behind St. Louis CITY SC. St. Louis has two games in hand and can extend their distance from the Sounders. Despite losing 4-0, LAFC sits in third but has FOUR games in hand.

After a disappointing draw in Vancouver, FC Cincinnati is still dominant in the East and leads the Supporter’s Shield race. The Columbus Crew keeps winning and keeps climbing the table! They have a game in hand and are three points away from the top 4.

Key MLS Week 19 Matches

We have a lighter week for MLS Week 19, but that does not mean there are no exciting games to watch! There are two that every bettor should be watching this week. Those two games are NYCFC vs. Columbus Crew and the San Jose Earthquakes vs. Portland Timbers.

NYCFC vs Columbus Crew @ 12:30 pm PDT

The opening match in MLS Week 19 gives us a huge Eastern Conference matchup, with NYCFC hosting the Columbus Crew. NYCFC has been underwhelming this season and wants to turn it back around. The Columbus Crew started rough but have found their form and have nine points from their last three games. Our bet is on the inform Columbus at +205.

San Jose Earthquakes vs. Portland Timbers @ 7:30 pm PDT

The San Jose Earthquakes are having a historic season for their standards. They have consistently stayed in the top five in the West and continue to roll through teams. The Portland Timbers have been disappointing for most of the season. However, in the last two games, they have only allowed ten shots, with only five on target. This could be a defensive battle, and our bet is on the draw at +255.
