It feels wrong to talk about MLS Week 14 just a few days after Week 13, but let’s do it! The matches on Wednesday did not disappoint, as we saw an upset galore and a new team taking the top spot in the Eastern Conference! From Sporting KC spoiling LAFC to Atlanta decimating Colorado. Week 13 had it all.

Current MLS Standings
Near the top of the tables, there was little change besides one big one in the East. However, the bottom halves of the tables saw some shake-ups that could lead to better things for those teams.
Despite an embarrassing loss to Austin, the Seattle Sounders stay on the top of the west, but LACF is hot on their tails with two games in hand. Interestingly enough, St. Louis CITY SC continues to drop more and more as their early season form begins to falter.
In the East, after a fantastic showing, FC Cincinnati moved to the top by three points and now leads the Supporter’s Shield race. Charlotte FC has started to turn things around as they keep moving higher and higher.

Top Five Goals and Assists Going into MLS Week 14
After a seven-match dry spell, Seattle’s Jordan Morris is still in the top five in the Golden Boot race. However, LAFC’s Denis Bouanga continues to climb up in the MLS scores thanks to another goal on Wednesday. Jesus Ferriera also added two more goals to his tally, and Almada joins the top five thanks to his goal against Colorado.
In the assist category, everyone stayed in the same place. However, the three at the bottom have to look over their shoulders as four more players are close to breaking into the top five.

Key MLS Week 14 Matches

However, they will look to bounce back to be in the title race. The Union have looked stronger since getting knocked out of the CCL and will continue their upward trajectory. However, our money is still on the Revs to get it done.
Vancouver Whitecaps vs Seattle Sounders @ 7:30 PT
We’ve got another Cascadia Cup battle as the Sounders head to Vancouver. Both teams are coming off a loss and hope to get a result to kickstart a run of form. The Whitecaps and Sounders lost to the Timbers this year, so they will also look to gain some ground for the Cup. Historically, the Sounders have been the better team, so betting on them at +215 would be the right choice.
