Will Pittsburgh be Only Team to Beat Baltimore Twice This Season?

The Steelers vs Ravens Match Odds Are Telling Us Something!

The Baltimore Ravens are headed to the postseason with a bye week after adding 13 wins in 16 games. On Saturday, they’ll take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, looking for their league-leading 14th win of the season before the playoffs begin.

However, the Ravens will consider benching some of their star players, with a bye week already earned in the AFC side of the playoffs bracket.

Meanwhile, the Steelers are 9-7 on the season. But they’re not guaranteed a playoff spot yet. First and foremost, the Steelers have to beat the Ravens on Saturday. The other NFL Playoff scenarios are below.

If the Dolphins or Titans win or tie in their respective games, and the Steelers win, Pittsburgh will be in the playoffs. Pittsburgh can also add a playoff spot with a win to go along with a Bills win, a Jaguars win, and a Texans-Colts tie.

Oddsmakers believe the Ravens will sit Lamar Jackson and other starters. The Steelers are -4 on the road in this Week 18 rivalry matchup. Meanwhile, the total is at 36.5, with the Over juiced to -112.

Steelers vs Ravens Match Odds

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been very average over the last ten games. The Steelers are 5-5 straight up, 5-5 against the spread, and have hit the Over and Under five times each in the last ten games.

The Steelers are consistently making it hard on bettors.

Meanwhile, the Ravens are 9-1 straight up in the last ten games. They’ve also covered seven of their last ten games while hitting the Over in seven of the matchups.

Baltimore’s defense has been one of the best in the NFL, but the offense has been even better. Which is why the Over continues to hit.

Earlier in October, the Steelers escaped the Ravens as 4.5-point underdogs, winning 17-10. Pittsburgh used Kenny Pickett at quarterback in that game. They’ll now have Mason Rudolph.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

Did Kenny Pickett Refuse to Be QB2 On Sunday?

There was a report earlier this week that Kenny Pickett didn’t want to return to the team from his injury if he wasn’t the starting quarterback.

Pickett was inactive in Week 17 despite being questionable for most of last week. But Mason Rudolph got the start and led the Steelers to their second straight victory on the road on Sunday.

However, after the report came out that he wouldn’t play in Week 17, he spoke to reporters to deny those rumors. Pickett is the No. 2 this week after being removed from surgery four weeks ago with a high ankle sprain. This time he’ll be active in NFL Week 18.

It’s hard to insert Pickett into a starter role after Rudolph has won two straight games for Pittsburgh. The Steelers’ playoff hopes are much higher over the last two weeks.

Either way, it’s unclear if the Pickett report was true. We’ll ultimately never know. But it’s also possible that Pickett could’ve just covered up his wrongdoing after realizing his mistake in Week 17.

As long as Rudolph wins, the Steelers will be his team.

How Good Are The Ravens?

Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the most notable names in professional sports. He’s made an impressive living playing the game of football.

While he’s no longer a top threat due to injuries sustained throughout his career, Beckham Jr. has been a part of many different teams.

He says this Ravens team is the best team he’s ever been on, from the top to the bottom.

Beckham Jr. earned a Super Bowl just a few years ago with the Los Angeles Rams. But he still thinks this Ravens team is the best.

The Ravens added a 56-19 victory over the Dolphins and defeated the 49ers the week before, 33-19.

Baltimore’s on a ridiculous stretch and seriously looks like the best team in the NFL.

Baltimore’s LIkely Resting Its Starters

The writing is on the wall.

Even oddsmakers believe that the Ravens will save their starters for the playoffs.

Therefore, it’s likely Tyler Huntley will get the start for Baltimore. He’ll probably play with many backups as the Ravens play out this game in preparation for the playoffs.

At this point, we’re just assuming based on logic and odds. Huntley made the NFL Pro Bowl last year as Jackson’s long-term backup. But it wasn’t really deserved. He just went because many quarterbacks decided not to go.

On the other hand, Under Mason Rudolph, the Steelers have added 64 points in the last eight quarters. This is the best the Steelers have looked all season.

It’s not only because of Rudolph. The running game between Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren earned more than 200 yards on the ground last week. That hasn’t happened most times this season.

Of course, Baltimore’s stats are better. But if the Ravens start backups and the Steelers play starters, we’d be much more confident in Pittsburgh to pull through.

The Steelers had a wacky NFL season start, but they’re a win away from earning another playoff appearance. The NFL odds favor the Steelers, which indicates that bookmakers believe Baltimore’s sitting their top players. Therefore, after looking at the Steelers vs Ravens match odds, we’ll back the Steelers at -4.
