The Colts and Pats are no strangers to each other. For much of the first decade of this century, these two were the teams to beat in the AFC, and regularly had some classic contests. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are gone, though, so who will make a name for themselves? And where do the NFL betting odds have this one going?

Indianapolis is still after a QB who can truly replace Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck. Next on the list is Matt Ryan, a former league MVP. While he may not have the Super Bowl success of Manning, or the excitement of Luck, training camp buzz is nothing but positive around the Falcons’ legend. Along with the Titans, the Colts start the season as favorites for the division. 2022 marks the 5th season running with 5 different quarterbacks—is it 5th time lucky?

Many questions remain around this New England team, which is nothing new in this part of Massachusetts. Even when they were going to the AFC Championship every season, few understood how Coach Belichick was running the show, which is even more mysterious this year. Who will call offensive plays? Who is truly on the staff? Will Mac Jones make the leap?

Indy won the matchup between these two last season by a score of 27-17, but this marked the first win in 8 games going back to the Manning era in 2009. The Pats have also won 52 games to the Colts’ 30. What does this mean for this week’s game?

If you’re betting on NFL games, this is a tight one to call. Both teams are playoff-level, and so both could win this matchup.
