Bundesliga Matchday 19 Odds: Games of the Week

Bayern Draw Yet Again

Bundesliga Now Even Wider Open

With a third straight draw, league leaders Bayern Munich are now just one point ahead of second-placed Union Berlin.

In fact, just five points separate Bayern from sixth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt. Bayern is still the favorite to win the title but the second half of the season promises to deliver drama. Union Berlin, who only played their first top-flight season three years ago, is one point behind Bayern. It’s anyone’s guess who will win the league with no fewer than six contenders.

Let’s take a look at the Bundesliga Matchday 19 Odds with some big games on the schedule.

Games of the Week:

BVB Borussia Dortmund vs SC Freiburg SCF

Date & Time:

Since the World Cup break ended, Borussia Dortmund have won their last three matches. Most recently they defeated Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 and ended their five-game winning streak. Dortmund are back in the top four and just three points behind leaders Bayern Munich.

This Saturday they take on SC Freiburg in an important match for both sides. With the two teams level on points, the winner will finish the weekend in the top four.

Home side Dortmund are currently ½-goal favorites and show -145 ATS and moneyline Bundesliga Matchday 19 odds.

Dortmund are a solid 6-1-1 at home this season and have averaged over two goals per game at the Signal Iduna Park. Meanwhile, SC Freiburg are 4-2-3 on the road with a -5 goal difference.

Since losing 6-0 to Wolfsburg a couple of weeks ago, Freiburg managed a 1-1 draw vs Eintracht Frankfurt and beat Augsburg 3-1 on Saturday. Freiburg’s leading scorer, Vincenzo Grifo, is back from an injury and is in contention to start.

The Breisgau Brazilians come in at +125 odds to cover and just +355 odds to win the match. Dortmund have won four of the last six meetings but a draw sits at +310 odds.

Freiburg haven’t won at the Signal Iduna Park since 2001 but a win would do wonders for their title and Champions League hopes.

Dortmund midfielder Salih Ozcan is suspended for this match after picking up his fifth yellow card. BVB defender Thomas Meunier is also out due to injury. Four of Freiburg’s last five games have gone over three goals.

Meanwhile, Dortmund have scored at least twice in each of their last four Bundesliga matches. Still, under three displays -125 odds for this intriguing Bundesliga clash.

WOB Wolfsburg vs Bayern Munich FCB

Date & Time:

Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann is on the hot seat. Bayern have not won a league match in 2023 and drawn each of their last three matches by a 1-1 scoreline. Most recently, Bayern drew with Eintracht Frankfurt but also tied Koln and RB Leipzig in January.

Plus, the out of form Serge Gnabry was benched on Saturday. Club officials were also reportedly upset with his appearance at Paris Fashion Week. Bayern seem to be sorely missing Sadio Mane, who should return in the next few weeks. Regardless, Bayern are one-goal road favorites at Wolfsburg on Sunday.

The Bavarians come in at +105 odds to cover the spread and -150 odds to win their first Bundesliga match since November.

Prior to losing 2-1 to Werder Bremen last weekend, Wolfsburg were on a six-game Bundesliga winning streak. They’ve had some excellent recent results, like a 6-0 win over Freiburg and a 5-0 win vs. Hertha. Jonas Wind and Ridle Baku have been standouts lately and Wind has three goals in his last three games.

Even though they’ve outscored opponents 17-2 in their last five matches, Wolfsburg are +350 underdogs. Wolfsburg +1 is priced at -125 odds, though.

Bayern did beat Wolfsburg 2-0 in August but these German Soccer Teams drew last season at the Volkswagen Arena. Another home draw for Wolfsburg sits at +350 odds.

With how good Wolfsburg’s form has been and how disappointing Bayern’s play has been lately, this is certainly one of the best Bundesliga fixtures for this week. Bayern have been the best road team in the Bundesliga this season, though, with 18 points through nine matches.

Three of the last four meetings have finished with four or more goals but under 3½ displays -135 odds.

Other Matches to Watch:

FCU Union Berlin vs Mainz M05

Date & Time:

On the back of three consecutive wins, Union Berlin have moved into second place in the Bundesliga standings. The Berlin side have never made the Champions League, let alone won the Bundesliga. Their dream is alive and well, though, and they’ll be looking for a win vs Mainz on Saturday.

Defender Danilho Doekhi is now Union’s joint-second leading scorer after finding the net in the 2-0 win over rivals Hertha. Union may lack “world class” players but they’re certainly not short on belief.

Heading into Saturday, they show -110 ATS and bundesliga moneyline odds. This could be a tough match, though, as Mainz put five goals on VfL Bochum on Saturday.

Karim Onisiwo scored a hat trick in a big win for Mainz and forward Ludovic Ajorque made his debut after signing from Strasbourg.

Mainz have some dangerous German players in attacking areas but sit at just +310 odds to win the match. In seven previous Bundesliga meetings between these sides, Union Berlin hold an impressive 4-2-1 record. Most recently, these sides played to a scoreless draw in August.

Another draw comes in at +245 odds and Mainz +½ displays -110 odds. Punters can also find under 2½ goals at -135 odds.

KOE Koln vs RB LeipzigRB Leipzig

Date & Time:

No team has gained more points than RB Leipzig over the last five Bundesliga matches. With a 4-1-0 record over their last five, they’ve amassed 13 points. A double from Dominik Szoboszlai gave Leipzig a 2-1 win over Augsburg last Friday.

They take on Hoffenheim in the DFB Pokal Wednesday before heading to Koln for a Bundesliga showdown. Koln are unbeaten in their last three matches, which includes a 7-1 win over Werder Bremen and a 1-1 draw at Bayern Munich. So, this may not be entirely straightforward for Leipzig, especially on two days’ rest.

Leipzig head into the match as -105 moneyline favorites and show the same odds to cover the ½-goal spread.

The Bundesliga Matchday 19 Odds price Koln +½ at -115 odds. The home side also sit at +270 odds to get just their second win in their last eight matches vs RB Leipzig.

Key players Christopher Nkunku, Dani Olmo and Péter Gulácsi are all out for Leipzig, though. The last meeting between these two teams finished in a 2-2 draw and a deadlock displays +280 odds for this one.

In their last five games, Leipzig have averaged three goals per so it’s no surprise that over 2½ goals are listed at -135 odds.
