While the English GK may be at Everton, there is still a chance someone else can become Jordan Pickford’s next club next season. Everton has been abysmal the last few years and has been near the bottom of the EPL standings and nearly relegated to the Championship!
Pickford is the starting goalkeeper for the England national team, and many are surprised he’s stuck it out at Everton for this long. There are rumors that he’ll be signing a contract extension until 2027. However, until then, we can all speculate who Jordan Pickford’s next club will be.
Here are the top five soccer prediction odds for Pickford’s potential new club:
- Stay at Everton (+155)
- Tottenham (+300)
- Chelsea (+1400)
- Brighton (+1600)
- Manchester United (+3300)
Stay at Everton
As we said above, there are rumors that Jordan Pickford is about to sign a contract extension with the club until 2027. That doesn’t mean he won’t be available for transfer; it just means it’ll be more challenging for clubs to make a move for him. This is why Everton are the favorites to keep him.
Tottenham
Tottenham being Jordan Pickford’s next club almost makes too much sense. It would be a new challenge for the English keeper, and Tottenham had just got rid of long-time captain and keeper Hugo Lloris. Pickford would do well in a Postecoglou system, so Tottenham would be a perfect fit besides Everton.
Chelsea
Nowadays, Chelsea is linked with everyone in the entire English system. After spending over $600 million last season, they’ve had to be more strategic with their signings. However, their keeper Mendy just went to Saudi Arabia, and Pochettino is keen on bringing in a new keeper. Pickford could be the one he’s going for.
Brighton
While nearly every big club has enquired about Jordan Pickford, it might be too much of a big step for him. However, going to a club like Brighton, which is on the rise, might be best suited for the Englishman. They are dynamic and might look for a new keeper if Raya leaves. Brighton also has a favorable opening English Premier League schedule to get acclimated.
Manchester United
After United let De Gea go, they desperately needed a new starting-level keeper. Ten Hag has been slowly shaping the squad to his liking, and Pickford could be a great match with him. Pickford to United would be a great fit if not for them signing Andre Onana from Inter Milan. We can’t 100% rule this move-out, but it is doubtful that it will happen now.
