Over the last two seasons, the Jays are 36-25 (+887 units) against teams winning more than 57% of their games. Two-time all-star, Jose Berrios, gets the start after throwing four quality starts in his last five starts. The only concern is run support considering Berrios has received three runs or less in 9 of 20 starts, including one run or less four times. After a loss to the San Francisco Giants, on June 18th (7-3), the Los Angeles Dodgers fell to 39-33 in 2023. LA was swept by San Francisco, falling four games out of first in the National League West. It wasn’t that they were out of the race, but losing three straight at home to their division rival seemed to be a turning point. Since the Boys in Blue are 18-8 and lead the West by four games after taking two of three from the Texas Rangers this weekend.

Right behind that trio is the Los Angeles Dodgers who are 25-11 in games decided by five runs or more. They’re starting to show glimpses of what their payroll says they should be with six wins by five runs or more in their last 13 games. Los Angeles is 67-53 (+226 units) against teams .500 or better and 45-33 (+566 units) against clubs playing .550 ball or better. The Jays numbers are good, the Dodgers are reliable.
